WCKCC Mt Diablo & Hockey planning discussion (see new thread for official details)

I have updated this thread to reflect a run up Mt Diablo for this year on March 21, 2009. We had so many people wanting to go on this run that Gary and I figured we would do it again. Gary will make plans for that side of the Mt and I will make plans for this side of the Mt. We will have lunch in Walnut Creek followed by a drive up Mt Diablo and end up in Danville for some shopping and leisure time. We will head out about 4:00 and head to Stockton for a nice dinner with our Kappa family and then head to the arena to be Thunderstruck with some hockey. If you want to attend the hockey game and don't already have tickets please let me know and I will see about getting more tickets. Barb

Mt Diablo run

Geeze two runs in one month?

Umm, we're in of course!

Mt Diablo is in our backyard and it would be silly for us not to go. Just to throw a wrinkle in, those heading off to hockey might want to head toward Stockton on Marsh Creek Road which will put you on Hwy 4 that practically runs into the Thunder arena. An escort could be providied to get you to Hwy 4.

Not sure if it really matters but the Marsh Creek portion would work better (easier) if it started from Walnut Creek.

Again - just throwin stuff out there.

Include LE Chief Dave and Phyllis

Hot Frash and I were planning on Hockey anyway - so alittle round about trip to get there is fine with us.

Since topdown2seatr, 1Chance, PDLOUNGE and FST SKY were on the other thread, you might want to include them here and PM them about the new thread.

The luch run sounds fun since I'm familiar with the area, but don't know what we can do yet. We wouldn't be able to do hockey though.

Whoops!

I really should check with my people before I type or make commitments . . . . (well, maybe 'handlers' would be more appropriate) . . . we will NOT be able to make this run

We are headed for points south on a coastal photoshoot/vacation that day. I need to get some lighthouse and Central Coast shots for a vendor. This trip happens to fit into a vacation to Cambria we were planning and we are on the road at o' dark thirty on the 21st (in my mind we were leaving on the 22nd - silly me)

I sure hope someone will take a pic or two of the gang. I mean, it will have been a whole two weeks since we would have seen everyone!

Ok, you can add Irene and I to the list.

Hey Genius (Sean),

I don't see your name on the list. Wasn't this your first run with us last year? Seems only appropriate you join us on this one.

Oh, and Helga, if you and Joe are out there....what about you guys?

John & Barb?

Chance

Sounds great! Been up there once already with my Sky. Fun to drive! How much are the Hocky tickets? On a stiff budget but would love to go.

Count me in...

I will be there for Mt. Diablo (and of course lunch too). Thanks to our "little albino duck" (Chance/Mike) for giving me the heads upthat this was taking place

Won't be able to stay for shopping - got to get back to San Leandro and pick up my friend Dan who is going to the game with me!
He'll be at the Sharks game while we are on Mt. Diablo...here's hoping the Sharks win!!!! He'll be HECK to ride all the way to Stockton with if they continue their losing streak...

Thanks for arranging this - I miss you guys and I know that you are having a terrific day today on the Mustard Run!

See you soon

Sonia

Candlelight Dinner for Two

Oh Yeah! That's right! I'd probably throw water on the candles thinking I needed to put the fire out.

Count me and Hot Frash in for dinner.

Dinner before game

Barb, I want to join you guys...but I won't know whether or not we can get there early enough. Will all depend on the Sharks and whether or not they can blow away the competition in regular time - or have to go into over time.

For now, let's say yes - it is always easier to take away two chairs at the dinner table than it would be to add two!

Thanks for organizing...
