Coloradans- front license plate?

Hiya fellow Coloradans!

We're licensing my car this week. We have the bracket for the front end license plate in the trunk of my car. I know it's a state requirement to have a front plate, but how many of you guys actually have yours on your car?

I should probably add that I live in a town that is heavily saturated with police, as we have the Peace & Justice center here...and I drive past the police station every day back and forth from work.

Ohh, and I also work at a place where a lot of police come. Most are off duty, but still.

I really feel like the chances of someone noticing I'm sans front plate will be very high, but my husband loves to throw caution to the wind...as he's not going to be the one pulled over without it.

I'm from Illinois - same law. Here is a test - look around - keep an eye out for Corvettes and other sports cars... If they all have front plates - they might be enforcing the law. Around me - I passed 10 Corvettes and 4 other sports cars (Boxter an Audi TT and others) and 2 had plates on. I have been driving since June 15 2006 without - no mention except on how much better the no-plate look is. I do carry it with me.

Here in California, a front plate is required but, LOTS of cars are running around without them (Porches, Vettes, etc.). I requested that my front plate bracket be placed in my hand when I picked up my SKY. After nearly a year - no problems (touch wood) and the bracket is in my garage, somewhere.

As Rick mentioned, look around your area. If you see only one or two cars without plates, go ahead and mount it or, you can live the 'outlaw life'.

We have it front and back (Colorado Springs).

Don't care to contribute to their coffers.

Last week a cruiser followed me for miles (in double lane, he could go by at any time). Was not sure what was up with that.

Front Plate

I've had mine on from the beginning.
Tickets are frowned on by my employer.
Doug didn't have his front plate on, till he got a ticket in Old Town.

Good Luck!!
