Bi-Yearly Canyon Lake Guadalupe River Run

SWTSKY prodded me on this so I am doing a temperature check on who would be interested.

If some of you remember we did this run in the summer 0f 2006 and if I remember correctly we had about 20 Sky's from multiple areas of Texas participate. At the time is was the largest assembly of Sky's to-date.

It was about a 3 hour run that started with a Barbecue lunch at Rudy's through Greune,Tx, along the Guadalupe River, over to Canyon Lake and then everyone came up to our house for post run refreshments.

I am thinking about sometime in May.

Let me know what you think.

I am new to this forum but would be interested. live in Dallas and member of porsche club and we do a lot of runs into your area. We know a lot of good roads in the area all the way out to Brackeville for the old John Wayne movie set for the Alamo. Good runs to look at Blue Bonnets at through Willow City Loop then good turns all the way to Fredricksburg by the way of back roads.

Sounds like a plan, let's do it. Keep us posted on the progress of this run. I am ready for any run with more than my Sky on the road.

Well, Since I'm the proddie (is that a word?) I guess you can count me in. I think I'm gonna make it a 4 day mini vacation and get some golf in while down in the hill country. So what dates your thinking of ? FYI the first 2 weeks of April I'll be in Hawaii. And also watch out for the 2008 Tail of the Dragon meet, June 26th! I thinking of attending that event too! Sounds like our new member here has some pretty good knowlege of the roads down in the hill country! Maybe he can help cordinate with the cruise?? Can't wait
Hey, William! By chance, are you the one that bought Ag94Woop's Sky. Silver w/maroon strip? AKA Heavenly

Would it be okay if a Solstice joined in? If so, please keep us posted as more details are determined.

Sounds great. I will try and get the May schedule for school. Hopefully there is a Saturday with no class. If not I will be hoping for a Sunday drive.

Just putting my plug in early.

Hey Jeff,

How about a schedule list in your first post of the TMS Club thread?

Cool! May is my "Administrative Month" as dept. chair at my university. After doing paperwork for 2-3 weeks without student contact, I will NEED some driving time to "clear my head."

We'll (tentatively) put it on the calendar!

Looks like we are narrowing down to the first part of May, can't miss TMS on May 24th.

I am looking at May 10th. That is Mothers day so it might be a nice gift to all the Mothers we are married to, all the Mothers that are married to us and all the children that have mothers. How did I do, did I include everyone?

Let me hear your thoughts.

SWTSKY, get the word out to the folks up North and I will do the same around here. Maybe we can get Qwack and the folks from the Houston Area as well. I will send him a PM

The more the merrier.

What do you think SWTSKY , should we open up one slot for a Red Corvette?

I'd be interested in knowing what you guys finally come up with.

Used to live in the Canyon Lake Area.. way back when Smithson Valleys High School football cheer was "Go fight Win!" followed by fits of laughter.

That's what I thought, but then I asked the wife and she said it sounds like fun. Looking forward to the fun.

I don't have a lock down on the date either way. Another option would be the labor Day weekend.

Just throwing it out.

Wait, what? When did he sell Heavenly?

Sorry, off-topic-y. I'm tentatively interested, especially if we're getting a good-sized group together, but don't count me in yet because I have no idea what my schedule is going to be like.
We ought to schedule a run slightly closer to the DFW-area at some point as well.
