Houston Sky's??

I drive daily from NW Houston to Katy on the beltway and always see other Sky's out there. Also driving around town even in the neighborhood. Does anyone else read this forum? I'm the grey headed guy in the onyx Sky with the Longhorn windristrictor
honk at me!!

Why can't we get a club together like the great folks of the TMS club up north? Then we could all go up to Texas Motor Speedway for the next event.

As alway's your more than welcome to come up north for the Texas Motor Speedway event. As for getting other Kappas together, I make frequent visits to my dealership and commuicate with my service guy, (Saturn of Lewisville) and in return he spreads the word around about the forum and up and coming meet-and-greets, mostly car shows.
Stay on top of it my friend, things will eventually happen.

Hey

This is THE LMT. I have a silver pearl. I live in Katy. I have a wind restrictor that lights up at night that says SKY'S THE LIMIT and I have personalized plates that say THE LMT. Honk at me if you ever see me.

No one EVER honks at me anymore or waves. Everyone that has a Sky that I encounter is very stuck up. Kinda sad.

When I had my Corvette years ago, all Vette owners would wave to each other when going down the road. It's just good etiquette.

I'm in SE Houston. I haven't really seen many Sky's.

Mine is a yellow redline with black wheels and loud exhaust.

I live in Katy. I've seen a few Sky's.

Tabitha, if your the one I have seen in Katy, then I have seen you at least 3 times. Westgreen once and Morton Road twice. Always had a wave or a honk.... if that was you. (loud horn and swish from the CAI)

I agree, I would like to see a Sky club in Houston.

There is a club but it's not organized per se. I don't think they even had a name. They do things every once in a while. I've been out with them a few times when they've done rides and it was so much fun. I haven't had time lately but would love to do something like that again. I don't think anyone wants to spend the time or has the time really to organize such things. Unless someone wants to volunteer! It's just trying to get everyone together. I'd love to get together again with Sky's. Its so much fun seeing everyone's faces when they see us all parked somewhere or driving somewhere.

Tabitha, you might want to hook up with the Houston group of the SWSC ... usually have a ride/meet monthly ... just a thought.

Houston north side

Seems like there are a bunch of Katy folks but I'm on the north side near Tomball. Saw a silver Sky RL today with USA SKY plates. If you put something together, let me know as I'd be interested. I'll be in Katy this weekend at a baseball tournament but alas, without my Sky as the space for the gear is limited!

Houston SKY

There are plenty of SKYs around the area. I live out near Tomball (spent a year at JVHS) and after seeing the black SKY yesterday, I saw a silver SKY with a 100 club sticker on the back bumper and there is an identical twin to my SKY only a mile away in an adjoining subdivision. How do we get everyone on this forum and connected?

****sad Face*****

Well, unfortunately, I just traded my Sky in tonight for Vue.

It was for the best though. It was so impractical for me at this stage of my life. But I had two GREAT years with her and I love the car. I will miss her greatly.

Hopefully, I've made a friend on here though just in time. Greg: I sent you an email to your work. So maybe I can still be in the picture if any of you all get together. 1KULSOL, yes, that's the group I was talking about . I didn't know if they ever got any more organized or not. I had a blast when I was with them.

Take care you guys!!

I see the Katy people every so often when I am driving my Expedition. I can't get people to look over when I am in the truck though.

While I live in Corpus, I can suggest you guys start sending each other PMs and get e-mail addy's, get someone to be the center contact, etc.,, A club will be formed in no time. Definately looks like there is intrest. I can suggest contacting SWTSKY in Fort Worth. He's done a good job with the Metro Sky Club up there.

How's it going everybody? Can anybody give an update on how Galveston is recovering? We can maybe put a meet & greet together for next spring

" Or " Everybody can plan for the next Sky's Under Lights Laps for Charity at Texas motor Speedway for next May 2009.

Galveston

Galveston is still in rough shape, the Strand area is still not really open yet but the seawall area is fine. All of the restaurants are open on the seawall so you can still come down and cruise the seawall.
