Saturday Night Cruise in Owasso

Been awhile since I posted, but I've been lurking around the forum. Been spending a lot of time in my Cobra.

But............. I'll be taking the Sky out Saturday night. Seems that a bunch of people have been meeting at the Golden Corral in Owasso every Saturday night for a few weeks for a little get together. They meet at 6:00 & get a bite to eat at the Golden Corral, then hang out in the parking lot for a couple of hours.

Supposed to be some nice classic cars there.

Hope to see ya there.

Randy

Cobra up and Running, clear the sidwalks!

Glad to see you post been wondering what's happening!
I heard about the Golden Corral but we have not made it out yet, maybe this Saturday. Seems for us we fire up poor old Pumpkin the Corvette and it gets driven to Mass on Saturday evening, only time during the week it gets driven some weeks. Since hubby fixes meals over the weekend this would give him a good excuse not to cook but dine at the Corral.
Our plans are to make the big car show in Bartlesville hosted by the Oldies and Goodies car club see website:Oldies N' Goodies Car Club
That being said the chance of rain my keep us home, twister season and hail predictions will keep the toys home.

The folks organizing it are trying to get the word out. Last Saturday there were about 10 cars there.

I was there with the Sky (one guy thought it was a $75,000 car!) and two friends of mine had there Cobra's out too. I'll be doing a car show in Claremore Saturday afternoon with the Cobra, then probably go back over to Golden Corral to see what's happening, weather permitting of course.

See ya,
Randy

So Where was everyone?

So Where were you in your storm cellar?
Granted we got there around 7pm but Pumpkin our Corvette was the only one in the parking lot that was not a daily driver. We missed the car show Saturday in Bartlesville to chicken to get out but by 6:00pm it was cleared off enough that we ventured out in our fast car
I saw a red solstice at the fish place next door while we were eating, maybe this Saturday we will have a good turnout.

I think the threat of severe weather had a lot to do with the turnout that night.

Nope, I wasn't in the storm cellar. I was drying off myself & the Cobra! I was at the show in Claremore when about 4:30 it started to drizzle.

Good I only live 10 minutes for where the show was. Got just a little wet on the ride home, not too bad since I have no top for the car. I did learn that the faster you go, the drier you stay!

Also learned that the Cobra is REALLY squirrelly on wet roads!

So, decided not to go to Owasso that night, I don't know if I'll be there this Saturday night, but I'll let you know.

Have you talked to Maverick lately? If you do, tell him I said hi!
