I might be able to make it - it's a really busy month, but I'd like to see some of the Sky people again, and it's nice to have one on this side of town for a change.

Yeah, I figured if they're going to have one at my son's school, the least I can do is show up. Hope to see you there, even if it's just a quick drive-by to say hi.

How about that. She resurfaces and I can't be there to say Hi.

I have to work to at least 2pm that day sorry. Also my other interest (Buicks) has a car show that night at Norma's Cafe in Carrollton, I will be there with the GN and maybe the Sky RL too.

Have a great time in Allen.

Well, that education thing isa teensy bit more important.
Will see you (and everyone else) at TMS the weekend after though so no worries.

Will definitely do a drive-by and say hello though, but probably not entering. :o

Cool, it will be great to see you again...

Any advice for my first car show entry? It seems like there are several classes that I could enter into (roadster, convertible, 2000s car, etc). Do Skys tend to do better in a particular class?

Not that I really expect to win anything, I'd just like to know what to expect, so that I don't seem like a total noob.

You want Sports Compact, Convertible or 2000. Don't regerster so quick when you get there. Scope out other cars in those three classes and then choose which ever one you think your best chance is. Wait till about 30 minutes before registration is about to end and then go register. My favorite is Sports Compact. Good Luck

I am soooo mad at SATURN I will never buy another one, or referer anyone else. I'll walk first. I was going to help with a show at the dealership this season, but I wouldn't go if its the last show on earth.anyway, I miss you guys, hope to see ya soon. P.S. Well, I was a bit disappointed that no other Skys showed up. We had great weather though, and I managed to win a class award in the convertible class.

Got a lot of "What kind of car is that?" comments, one guy even said "Why did you put a Saturn logo on your car?" (he thought it was some old euro roadster that I had restored)

I heard one guy say as he walked by, "Well, for the price of that you could probably by two vettes...". I would have set him straight but I was in the middle of a conversation with someone else.

Anyway, I had a great time, and will see you all next weekend at TMS.

Sorry Mark, I know I said I'd show up too, but by the time I woke up again, it was past two. Blame the tequilla the night previous. Sounds like you had a good time, and if you go to another car show (not so early) on our side of town, I'll definitely join you.
