BC & AB meet in August 9, 2008 [Sun Valley Cruise-In]

Hey there sky buddies!

Have you heard about the plans for the summer? We are planning a joint BC + AB Solstice and Sky meet in August.

We should have a pretty good location with scenic mountain roads, lush valleys, glacial lakes, warm hot springs etc. We are trying to choose between either Revelstoke, 3 valley Gap, Vernon, or Kelowna, if you have a preference please let us know!

And if you have a preferred weekend that works please chime in before we set anything in stone. Here's a link where we have started some plans:

Do you have any preference of time or place sidejam?

Looks like a few people can't make it mid month so we have settled on either

Aug 2nd weekend

or

Aug 30th weekend


Also, do you have any opinions on where we meet up?

Just chiming in here on the Sky forum. I'll be going on the August 9th cruise to Vernon. Hopefully some Sky owners will go too.

Does anyone in Calgary want to go for a cruise to Banff June 1st, 2008 with the beyond.ca forum members? There will probably be a wide variety of cars going.

Vernon BC Aug 9th weekend should be blast guys!

Friday Aug 8th alot of us will be driving into Vernon, there is a Car show along the main drag in Vernon open to any/all car types. (see website below)

Sun Valley Cruise-In

Saturday we can go with the day 2 events for the car show, a poker run and BBQ or we can do our own thing, possible a winery tour, lunch and group drive.

Sunday there is more car show stuff (see website above), including prizes and giveaways.

Most people are already booking hotels for the Friday and Saturday nights. You can get a group rate at the Sandman Inn, please check the other thread at the Solsticeforum for details of this group rate.

Skybright and the skypilot crew drove up to Merritt for lunch and twisty`s last Saturday and was talked into the Vernon bash.(Sandman already booked but didn`t know about the group rate-)Should we register in the show&shine even if we have to leave Saturday around 11:00 a.m. to catch a flight to Mexico.Just my 2 cents but that was a great route up the canyon to spensers bridge then hwy 8 to merritt a big favorite of sport bikes,then 97c over the new bridge in Kelowna and up the lake to Vernon.We live in Chilliwack so with an E.T.A. we can fall into line at the main Chilliwack onramp to the #1.

I live in the Westbank area... By then I should have my downpipe, and reflash ready to go.... I'm in. And if someone needs a place to stay I might be able to accomodate someone.
