HOw to get a Sky in USA?

HI,
I want to get a Redline here in Canada, my first order got at the dealer this past november but i sold it the next in line for Red Line wich im gonna get his ( both car were identical ). But since im working for a American compagny since 5 years already and im 8 months usually in USA a year. Im thinking about getting the car in the states. Its look like it would be so much more cheaper. In Canada I live only 20 minutes away from the US custum next to the Maine states....

How that would work? I do have a adress in the states as well, so im really looking for that option if that could work...........it would be so much cheaper for me since i get paid in US Dollars and the car is like 10 000$ cheaper as well....

I am not sure what you are asking but if I were in your shoes I would try getting one in stock. In Los Angelos they have Redlines on the lot and they arrange to pick you up from the airport...that was what I was told when I called them. If you have the resources to do this I would speak with someone on the phone to discuss your options for finance and delivery before dropping by a dealership

Good luck and be well!

The problem you are going to run into is your Cobalt. You are quite young and, I assume, would not qualify for 2 loans at the same time.

While the Sky is cheaper to buy in the USofA, so was your Cobalt, I would imagine you have some negative equity in your car up here...but down there you will be WELDED into that thing.

Your only option is to sell your car up here and take out a loan that will get you enough to cover off your losses on that car and buy the Sky in the USA. I am assuming here that you only have a credit rating in Canada...although I am not sure how that part works. Do not tell the bank you are buying a US car though because I do know that there can be problems with that as well...what they don't know won't hurt them. That also assumes that your credit is strong enough to just give you loan without knowing EXACTLY which vehicle you are going to be getting, some places require the VIN and paperwork before releasing the funds.

Good Luck. My personal opinion is that you are already #2 on a list up here and with the potential financing issues I would just do it here. The difference is more like 5k Canadian...I am not sure where you were getting 10k from

Well i am a BAnk of America custumer since 2003, so i might be able to get a loan........

Yeah im trying to sell the cobalt before........................... and yes i do have a credit with GM.

Where im taking the 5K? Well a REdline full load here is 42 000 before tax, you need to add 15% for the tax...............so its close to 50 000 CAN!

I tried to buy one from my buddy who sells Pontiacs and he was going to cross dealer deal one for me but found out that it is impossible to do as they have to be registered in the United States and sales tax paid. Then you would have to import it and pay the Canadian Taxes again on top of the original price. I have a cottage as a residency in the US and to register it in Canada after buying it in the states that was my problem. Yes you could save 10 grand but it doesn't work legally or monetarily.
I ended up biting the bullet and ordered a Sky Redline Turbo that I believe is being built today. My Dealer is in Windsor Ontario, I sure hope things go smoothly!
