Spring Fling . . . . in Whistler!!
Hey hey all Sky people!!
Our first annual West Coast Canada Spring Fling will be on May 27th, that's right Sunday May 27th (it works better for a few people compared to the May 26th Saturday). All kappas from BC, WA, AB, etc are welcome to join us for the cruise/rally. The last meet we had 11 or 12 Solstices and Skys, so I hope we can get between 15-20 kappas this time out! And we will be driving from Vancouver to Whistler BC along the very scenic and curvy Sea-to-Sky highway. The weather should be warmer by then, so bring along your camera and some sunscreen because we plan on going topless!! . . . . . . . . the cars of course ![]() Details will be posted here in the near future, so mark your calendar now and check back soon because we have alot of fun stuff in store! |

Just providing an update for the sky forum people. Our event has grown to a fairly large gathering, we have already received confirmations from 20 cars!! We will be cruising up to Whistler BC on May 27th, and have booked the Boston Pizza there, they dont take reservations but they are very happy to accomodate our group since it is already up to 40 people (give or take a few). Oh, and in case I forgot, there will be FREE swag! Yes, no kidding, FREE gifts from a friendly GM salesperson who is a member of our group. Last time we met he gave us a trunk full of goodies, thermoses, hats, flashlights, sweaters, etc. PLEASE if you are interested in joining us drop by at the solsticeforum.com and RSVP at this link: http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=29183 ![]() |

Looking at the Solstice site there are only 4 SKYs joining the run. There has to be more SKYs sold in the lower mainland. If I could sort out our member list via region I would send each of you a PM. It would be nice to see more SKYs joining the pack. The last run in White Rock gave us an opportunity to meet new friends but most of all following the pack of Kappa cars was very cool! Hope more of you can make it. ![]()

More details for you here skypilot: http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/s...d.php?p=496088
There is a tentative itinerary, maps etc. Lunch is planned for around 1pm I think, and after a brief cruise around Whistler you could be back in Vancouver by 3-4pm easy, or take your time, tour around Whistler a bit more, shop or stay longer, you chose. Make sure you are all fueled up and have your sky sparkling because there will be prizes for good looking cars, those who drove the farthest, etc. See ya there! ![]() |

Not looking good
First off, your the man psycho squirrel I`m just putting this out there. These cars we`re built for sunny day`s and Sunday is looking like a c- day 60% chance of showers here and whitler. How many would you loose changing to Saturday compared to driving to whitler and back in the rain.On the other hand the logistic side of thing`s would be a nightmare.

Well, I am optimistic about tomorrow, dont worry too much about the weather. I have a feeling that it will clear up or just be hazy like it is now.
We did debate (alot) over the chosen date, we didnt want to be on the Victoria day weekend because people usually make other plans, we also didnt want to conflict with the tahoe meets, WA and OR cruises that were planned, various weddings people had booked, and even the Nationals in June. So there were alot of dates to avoid. We were hoping that late May, or last weekend in may could have good weather (like we've had most of the week) so the date was set way back and worked for as many people as possible. We will try to keep this spot in the calendar for future meets too. |
