When does everyone take out their cars?!?!

Man, this winter has been just tooo long! its killing me!

Curious to see when most of you are taking your babies back out on the road!?? I put my full insurance on every April 3rd, so its 32 days away!!

My girlfriend is still dying to buy a Sky, and I haven't seen a single Sky/Solstice on the road in MONTHS.

Mine is my daily ride - of course, there is less snow in Atlanta than you would get in Toronto

Depends on the sun. Sunny day and I am out, raining then put away.

Drive it when ever I'm in the mood, which is just about every day. As long as I can keep the top down, and that's almost every day, it's party time.

For me it is a science. During the winter months, I take the car out on nice days until the first salting of the roads. From that day it stays in the garage until I get at least enough rain (usually 2 storms) to wash the salt off the roads. I would have taken it out this weekend, we had 2 great rain days early in the week, and I knew the weather people were saying nice weather for today, but NOOOOOOOOO it had to snow 6 inches on friday night, just in time to screw my weekend up.

The sad part is next week is looking like the same exact scenerio, rain Tuesday and Wednesday (Perfect) but then on Friday they are calling for temps dropping and rain and snow mix (MORE F'in Salt).

Just can't win......... how do we further global warming, winter sucks!!

But at least that highly corrosive salt is not getting on my baby.!

I drive mine every day but that is fixin to change due to the fact I will have a longer commute to work. (50 miles versus the 9 miles I do now). I will then rely on my older Eclipse to drive back and forth to work so I can keep the miles down on my Sky. I will drive my baby for everything else though.

I see Solstice's all the time!! But very rarely see any Sky's. Right now I am the only Sky owner in my county and I have had her since August of '06. I gotta admit I don't mind that at all.

p.s its a very small county but so what!!!

Hi all

Here in the Ottawa Region , i guess if the snow banks get anything close to melted i ll take mine out. But judging the amount of snow , wild guess is not before mid april.....snow bank at home is higher than my Jeep.

There is , though , minimum of two , who changed the rims and tires and are driving them in sub-zero temperature , slushy conditions ,name it , the car is out.....issssshhhhh ..a nightmare ....and YES it`s an UGLY car when it`s unrimmed and full of salt...with canadian tire hub caps at 9.95/pair !!!

mine is still asleep.....can`t wait to wake her up.

The weather here is psycho. We hadn't take our Sky out since January 4 when we had a fluke sunny day that got up to 75 degrees. My every day driver is a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM. Our Sky had been stored in our garage until this past Sunday, when again it got up to 78 degrees and was sunny. On the spur of the moment we got out the Sky, put the top down, jumped in a took a scenic drive up the Great River Road. When we got home, we cleaned her up, covered her and stored her in the garage. Guess what - yesterday it was 28 degrees and we had 11 inches of snow. Who know what the weather will be like this weekend. AND YES, I TOO AM VERY JEALOUS OF YOU PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE WARMER CLIMATES!!!!

Like xmicro, I drive mine on dry roads until the salt comes down, but for me, only if the top can be down. It will stay in its automotive cocoon in the garage until the weather breaks, where the top can come down again, and after there has been enough rain to wash the roads clean.

It may take a bit longer this year, as they are putting down sand where I am, having run out of salt!

Mine is stored 3 1/2hrs away. The weather looks good for this weekend and as long as it does not snow I will go get it and drive it home. It can sit in my driveway and I will drive it as long as the roads are clear of snow and ice. It has been parked since the end of Oct. The wait has been killing me.
