Larry, your price is too high. A Redline can be purchased on Ebay for 31-32. The mods you have added, although they cost you money, do not increase the value of the vehicle at all. You are chatting with the right people here on this forum...your car is worth that much to us all day long....but we already have our SKY's.

If your Redline gets here and you are still sitting on your car just trade it in...the appraised value will appear small but you will be getting a tax credit a well so that kind of helps.

It sucks but this is not a 2002 TA Collector's Edition...it ain't giong to go up in value. I feel your pain...I am into mine for around $50,000 with the turbo and rims and everything, I'll never get that money back, but that is the cost of having the baddest Sky around

I tried to trade it but the Used car Manager wouldn't even call me back. I truley had no idea what to ask for it. I'm now down to $26,800 and I would accept offers.

Larry,

Sorry I can't help you by buying your Sky, I have my RL. Have you thought about selling it on Ebay?

Please tell me about the Lambo door mod, what brand, and have there been any alignment issues? I'm seriously considering them, would you do it again when you get your RL?

Thanks,

Landscape

Hey Landscape.....The door hinges were from Vertical Doors, Inc. in California. I had them installed locally last August. The alignment has and is perfect. Besides no problems, the alignment is completely adjustable using only a hex wrench. As soon as my RedLine gets here I'll do it all over again. If you think a normal Sky gets a lot of attention, then wait until you get lambo doors, then EVERYONE flocks to the car, at the grocery store, dry cleaners, restaurants, even all the salesmen at my local dealership and all the mechanics come to the car when I visit. If I had more experience with e-bay I may have considered it, but I'm not to technically savoy so I didn't even think that way.

You'll love them.

Larry

PS: I don't recommend that you buy the hinges from the manufacture, they will set you back close to $1,900. then you have to pay more to get them installed. If you are interested, PM me for more details.

That's understandable since you also don't get to see the sun very often in your neck of the woods.

There are functional advantages as well as stylish looks, since the dooors go up instead of out, I won't have to have my passenger get out in the driveway so they won't bang the door in my garage exiting the vehicle.

and THEY LOOK COOL

okay... i can understand that i guess. and i'll concede that it would be a vey boring world if our cars all looked alike, wouldn't it? enjoy your doors.

(BTW - sunny and low 70's in Seattle today! Sure wish my car would get here...)

I think the Lambo doors look pretty awesome. However, I would never do it to my car. I went through that phase when I was younger where I had to mod my vehicle. Spend so much money on it and then never get near that much back. It is bad enough the normal depreciation of a vehicle.

I also learned not to mess with structural changes to the vehicle. I had a pickup once that I had the top cut off to make it a hardtop convertible. Thing leaked like nobodies business after about 6 months.

LongWaitLarry, good to hear that your RL is only a month and a half away, the Turbo is really sweeeeet. I wish that I could help in some way and I did ask a few of my friends that expressed interest in this product, but my circle has new homes, kids, and boats to pay for. I can suggest a book on learning about EBAY. I do know folks that have brought and sold vehicles on the internet and done very well. Did you check CARMAX?? I 've done that and they just wrote me a check and I was gone. Your auto is in GREAT shape and it has nice modifications, dont cut yourself to short on this
