NiteSky For Sale [Traded for ordered Automatic]

After this weeks Run at the Dragon, I Have decided to sell NiteSky. My left Knee cannot take the constant pressure from the Clutch on long trips.
I want to sell it and get myself or even trade with someone for a Automatic Sky.
Remember Nitesky does has Special meaning to me, and it is a tough decision to sell her. But I cannot drive long trips any more.
She is a 2007, 251st Sky built. Midnight Blue, Tan Top and Leather seats. Chrome Wheels, 6 dish Changer with Monsoon sound. XM, Onstar of course.
She just turned over 20,000 miles this weekend on the trip.
She has a few unique touches not on any other Sky that I have seen. It has a Silver Pearl Rear Spoiler, Metallic Silver pinstripes, Chrome edging around the lower and upper grills and a 2.4 emblem on right rear and on the engine cover..
I will take 21,000 for her.. It is such a hard decision to make...
If anyone is interested PM me.
Tim

OK, this has nothing to do with you selling your Sky, but ....
I have number 252, and turned over 21,000 miles this weekend.

Teri said it best, car has sentimental attachment but its still just a car and if you cannot enjoy it because of you health/knee then its time to trade and let someone with good knees enjoy the car. You could go with option B and have a automatic put in your car, just a thought! Then a new 08 Redline would sure be sweet Remember now its what you want in life, what will make you jump out of bed and want to perma grin

Not gonna sell

I had someone call me last night wanting my car, I just could not tell him I would sell it. He still wants to look at it today, I guess I will explain to him what the car means to me, and I hope he will understand. My heart just won't let me sell it...

I was afraid of the clutch bothering my knee too, so I just had the knee replaced. Couple days in the hospital, couple months of PT, some really good drugs and a year and a half later it's still almost as good as new. Replace the knee, keep the car.

Gotta admit, I'd never even heard of a Sky when I had the knee replaced, but never would have thought of getting one the way my knee was before. The rehab is hell, but before the surgery I had to stop half way on a trip to the mailbox. Now I can walk 2-3 miles with no problem other than being fat and out of shape.

Regrets

I am sorry I posted this about selling my Sky. I regret even thinking about selling my car. I have decided after a sleepless night last night to not sell my Car. It just means too much to me... I hope you understand.
Tim

Edit..... After talking it over with myself... I said, "Self... it's not the car. it's the time we spent together .". so I decided if the oppotunity came up without really trying to sell it I would and get me a new sky...

Tim I know you've decided to keep the car. If that truly makes you happy then go for it.

The car isn't what made the special memories. It was the time spent with your wife! If it hurts to drive then you won't end up enjoying the car and you won't drive it. I doubt that was what your wife wanted for you.

Standard or automatic a Sky is a Sky. I realize it won't be the car that she sat in with you, but, it won't hurt you to drive it.

I hope all is well with you

Obtion B or C

Since plan A to sell the car is out, seems plan B or C. Replace the clutch with an automatic or get the knee replaced kind of funny really either replace a clutch or a knee

Well I checked on the price of getting a automatic put in... WAY too much money.
I don't want to go through knee surgery...I cannot afford to take off from work that long right now... Sooooo... I went by the Saturn dealership.... jokingly I asked them how much they would give me for my car... 20500miles on it... well If I had sold it outright I would not have gotten as much for it... I don't want to tell how much I got, but believe me it was more than I thought it should bring and alot more than someone else on here said they were offered for one that just had 1900 miles on it. so after I had the check in hand I went back and ordered me a new Chili pepper red Automatic.... Bye-Bye NiteSky... Hello NiteSkyII.. (You Know the saying "Red Sky at night..".) should be here in 6 to 8 weeks.
I guess I will be seeing NiteSky driving around town someday. but I really cannot see them selling it for more than they gave me...
