Question to forum from original poster

Hi, I am the person who posted this ad and have a question. I am not 100% up on the market for this car as it was my fathers. I would think with it being summer and good on gas this sky would be in high demand. So my question is am I expecting too much money for his sky? The dealer offered 20K which I thought was very low and that is why I am trying on this forum. Do you think 23K would be a better price to move his sky?

Any info/insight would be appreciated.

Thanks agian
Glen

Not sure what your looking for to be honest. With your post I can't tell if it's Redline 2.0L or the original 2.4L model. As for prices, now is your brst chance to sell a roadster, spring/summer.. also depends on where you live, altho now that should not matter. As for price, I was offered 19-20k for a 07 2.4L on a trade in for the redline. You can also do a carmax or a Used vehicles, used car prices, used car values at Edmunds or even here New Car Prices and Used Car Blue Book Values - Official Kelley Blue Book Site to get an idea of what the Sky is selling for and what people are willing to pay.. Good luck on your quest of selling..

Thank you midnight...It is the original 2.4L.

Basically I was asking what people who know this car feel is a fair price for it. As I am not up on this car's community base. It was my fathers car. I also thought by posting this question it may generate interest and poissibly offers.

Again thanks for the response and thoughts! I will check out those sites

Here's what I got on Edmunds specifying an outstanding condition:

Dealer Trade: $20,620
Private Party: $22,348
Dealer Buy: $23,894

And even those numbers are suspect in the current buy market.
GM is offering some nice incentives on brand new 2008 vehicles.
At one point, for buyers targeted with special incentive coupons, you could get 3000 off MSRP.

A 2008 NA SKY MSRP is 25855. With a $3K incentive, that becomes 22855. It's pretty hard to sell a used 2007 for $23000K when the lot price less incentives for a brand new 2008 is $22855.

Although now is a good time because it's SUMMER, you will be fighting against dealer incentives until the current crop of 2008s are sold out. Once you're competing against full price 2009, a discounted 2007 might look nice.

The $23K is a reasonable "asking" price. Given time, someone may bite.
