Best way to launch in drag racing?

At the drag strip, what have you guys discovered the best for launching and improved your ET?

TC off?

Competition Mode?

TC and ESC off?

Thanks much!!!

Your best 60' should come with all the nanny monitors off. Of course, you have to practice some to learn what launch method works best on your track.

ESC Off. I put it in drive, power-brake it up to 2500 rpm, and stomp it on the last yellow light. This gets me consistnet 1.90-1.91 60ft. times. I have even managed one 1.899 60ft with this technique.

Vette's launch in competitive mode. It doesn't affect wheel spin or your launch in any way but if you got a little sideways down the track it was nice to have

I have an auto. I think the best rpm for the manual is around 4500.

Ideal is 4500, it's hard to get traction at that point as I understand though. Most people are able to get off between 3500 and 4000. In the autos we takeoff at 2500-2700...

With 9" width rear RFT street tires, I still doubt that I'll get traction using 4500 rpm when I launch.

But at the track, I'll test between 4000-4500 and find out which is the most I can use.

thanks much guys!

dont drop the clutch and youll be fine. if you drop it at 4500+ youll just spin, i know, ive done this and you go sideways for about 20ft till you catch. still fun though .
