Goin' to the Strip Sunday

Anyone who cares to come out, Mayhem and I will be making some passes this Sunday at Texas Raceway in Kennedale. Nice place to race the 1/8th, only $10 to race or watch. Both my sons, CJSKY(Chris), and myself will be there! Great place to practice. Look forward to seeing some of you The SKY is a big hit out there.

No, Scarlett will not be there as she is getting a clutch upgrade and won't be back till next week.

This time I will drop the tire pressure, should make my 60' a lot quicker.

Well technically, you can start the Sky in second from a dead stop, I've done it unintentionally. Figured that's not what you meant though.

On topic, I'd love to head out there, but not sure what my schedule is on Sunday. What time are you guys going out there? I've never had my car on the track so I don't think I'd be up for it, but I'd like to watch you guys run.

Did not mean turn the key...I meant I was able to put it in gear and actually move it...didn't have to start from first gear...

Come on out. Maria has turned 600 miles since the new flywheel, clutch and transmission. She's ready to run.

Okay, I'm in. I'll try and be out there about 4 then, I guess?

If you wouldn't mind teaching me Ernest, I'd love to learn. I just didn't want to try and screw up and fry the little engine or something. You'll have to try not to laugh too much though. Glad to hear you'll be running Chris, I'm curious to see Maria perform post-surgery.

Great, look forward to seeing you. It is really laid back, a good place to practice. Just remember, no one will laugh, if they do it is because they are bleacher racers, all talk but no action. I will show you how an auto R/L can run. I have never drag raced a manual R/L, so for now we will make some passes in mine

I will be upping the octane with some TORCO Fuel Additive. It will either be 97 or 104, haven't decided on the mix, probably start with 97. With the increase I should have no problem with the knock sensors

Now if Texas Motorplex has anothe T & T next Saturday(determined by weather) guess where I'll be?

Iffen I can get the miles on Scarlett before then, I might be running both cars Have to get 250 miles on the new clutch, should be able to accomplish that easy.

Congratulations Leanne!!!!

On behalf of drag racer's everywhere, WELCOME to the club, having made your solo pass it will only get better from here You have made a great accomplishment, and I am very prtoud of you. You are no longer a "bleacher racer" as so many are.

Nice to see you again and hangin' with everyone

Best pass for me was a 9.2 @ 78 mph. Not my best, but acceptable.

Great meeting you Jeff, looking forward to seeing you again

Thank you, and John, Chris, and Jeff for the advice on what to do. Completely borked the first run - just froze up and stalled the poor little car so that first run was an embarrassing number, but the second run was a 9.6 @ 74 - still need plenty of practice, but it was definitely exhilarating, and she just flew down the track.
