cleaning gauges?

i just got my RL yesterday. the dealer "cleaned" the interior... with dirty water. the cluster gauges have a cloudy film on them.

has anyone else cleaned their gauges? how did you reach them (the fuel gauge is very small & recessed)? how do you keep cleaning fluid (water?) from seeping into/behind them?

TIA

Just dampen the microtowel but not too wet and just wipe .

When some jerk threw a burrito into my car, I had the pleasure of cleaning ground beef and sour cream out of there. If you push on it, you'll find that the gauges are covered be a single piece of clear plastic. It took some doing, but I was able to get a thin cloth behind the black plastic and clean it all up that way. Best of luck!
