Reality check: If it's 17 outside, it's probably 17 inside.

Cold butt?

I have "extra padding" on mine so it's not a big problem....

Perhaps you should try wearing some pants when you take the car out on those colder days.

I didn't classify the temp as in or out and actually that temp was from my coolant temp display-

and Di- I was in pants, but it sure didn't feel like it- that's why I'm not a Leather seat fan

I usually find that a nice hard spanking warms my posterior up nicely...you just have to find that right person to administer the spanking

Seat Heaters

Aftermarket seat heaters are a nice solution to this issue.

This issue is the first time I have missed my G35 since trading it in on my Sky. Got in my car the other night after work and hated the feel of cold leather. Seat warmers are nice in cold weather....

Lock 'em up

If you do get sheep skin seat covers, you might want to consider locking them up when you're not in your car. We had beautiful sheep skin seat covers for our '67Austin Healy Sprite convertible and someone stole them. Those ragtops make it too easy for someone to break into your car.

I don't know if this would work for you but this is what I do - I throw a towel in the dryer before I leave and then when I am ready to go I just put the hot towel on my seat. I fiqure if it will keep the skin on my legs in the summer heat. Then it work just as well to warm up the seat in cold mornings.
