Dusty Sky - what to do?

So we finally got some warmer weather and heavy rainfall here in Chicago that my Sky is going to make it's first appearance since winter out of the garage. I didn't have it covered, so some dust has collected. What would be the best way to get this off?

Just wash?
Dust first, then wash?
Drive it around really fast so the dust flies off first, then wash?
Some other idea?

First thing I did was wash...
Don't know how "well" the dust is adhered to the finish so dusting could scratch
Hardly ever pass up the opportunity to was the car...
Then I drove it to drain any remaining water...

I've had similar thoughts about my Black Sky . I've found it to be very helpful to purchase a California Duster for those 'between wash times' .

Just a little gentle swipe will keep the dust from accumulating until your next wash !

I think if possible, a gentle air blast will do it if you have an air compressor. If not, then a microfiber or california duster is what I use. I also have a black redline and it's an everyday habit now giving it a quick wipe before leaving the house.

Water from a hose is best without question. Dry rub is never the best way, especially once it has sat there for a while.

Is it just me or does anybody else think that "Dusty Sky" sounds like a Porn Star from the 70s?

I've had one for years. They are great for dust.

Thanks for all the replies. We ended up just washing it, since I wanted to get it on the road before the sun went down. It was great. First top down day for it! Unfortunately we took it out before it was dry, so it's got spots all over it again from the water blowing out of the crevices.
