Hate Love Bugs??? Try this..
Many Private pilots have used this for YEARS to protect the leding edge of the wings from bugs. We smack those little suckers at 150+ mph, splat, then air dry. We use PLEDGE Yep, the furniture polish. Its made of a wax desolved in a water base. Just spray a medium coat on the bug bashing area, go out driving, bash a bunch of those little suckers, come home and wipe them off. I have been doing this on my Grumman AA1B for over 15 years with no issue to the paint. Even when I put her up dirty, the bugs came right off later.
My wife and I were in Daytona two weeks ago for Biketober Fest. The truck came back with a coat of love bugs. Its hard for them to get out of the way when they are flying UNITED!!
