The Metro Vac N'Blo?
Hello everyone, my sky rl will be arriving at the dealership in a few weeks and i started shopping for cleaning supplies already. Anyways, i was wondering if anyone has some genuine information on the Metro Vac N'blow portable vaccum. I was thinking about buying it because it would be really nice to use the blow for drying the car and vacuum for cleaning the interior too. Also, i have a boat and other things i could definately use it for.
Here is my question though: Does anyone know how long it might take to blow dry the sky and how well does the vacuum work on other things too? Does anyone else have any better ideas or solutions? Incase you haven't heard about it, here is an article explaining it http://www.autogeek.net/vacnbloporva.html Please, I am only looking for 100% true information. If you have neither tested nor seen this product being used, don't flame it.

Personally, I use a Dust Duster for the inside and wash my car at the hand car wash. The spot-free rinse is great. After I leave the car wash, my solution for blow drying the outside is 70mph down the highway. Better than any blow dryer I've ever seen...and a lot more fun!

I spent weeks researching this and other products like it and actually bought the Baron, which is made by the same company, but is the blower only. There is also a Cycle dryer (made by another company) that is smaller, but also a blower only. Great products, but a bit pricey. I returned the Baron w/out using it, but I know it would have been great. I created my own, using a Ryobi cordless leaf blower, taking off the long nozzle, and attaching a short nozzle which is actually the soft rubber adapter for wet/dry vacs. Works great!

I use my back-pack yard blower-(looks funny, but very effective)-Works like you won't believe with the powerful blower motor--Gets the water out of EVERY where!! Then I have a smaller Hoover 3HP vacuum for interior--

blow job on my sky

Dry time depends on if I use a conditioner after the shampoo. Seriously though...it takes about 5 mins or so to blow dry the car. Gets all of the H2O out of the cracks and crevices. I have a toro or some other brand of leaf blower - bought it at Amazon for about $26 with free shipping. I don't think there's a huge difference between em as they are probably all made in China by 11 year olds paid 30 cents a day. Before I wash the car, I put the top down and use the blower. Better that vacuuming - open the doors, lower windows and just blow the hell outta everything. ![]()

Metro Vac
It looks identical and this has more tools - to the vac we use at work for cleaning computer internals/etc.
If so, I'm actually disappointed with the blower side. It was more of a 'puhf' then 'BLOW'. Vacuum wise - I can see it being good for the crevices and what not. As much as I laughed at the 'idea' of using a leaf blower - it works well. Quote:
