mothers power ball WOW

I bought a mothers power ball to polish my wheels and all I can say is wow. What a time saver it took less than 10 mins. a wheel. It would have taken four hours to do it by hand. These are GREAT

Also, I wondering if it is abrasive...Don't want anything abrasive on the chrome. I learned the hard way when I used to polish the chrome magnum 500s on my mach1. I actually wore it down to the metal....

Yeah, I'd like to know this too. I have the chrome rims, and have looked at this item many times over the last year. However, I don't want to spend money on something that will damage my rims.

Following quote from Mothers web site...

"The PowerBallŪ is ideal for use on any uncoated, polishable metal finish."

I would hesitate to use it on chrome plated product...

Mild soap and water is all you should need on chrome. I would not use any machine on chrome, but that is just me.

I tried it a couple of times.....found I couldn't put too much presuure on it...otherwide it locked up on me.(torque issue in the "drill" )

Since I bought the jack and now remove the wheels... I now can get the whole insides in a couple of minutes....as well as putting the "grape jelly" on the insides of the hoops too.

I hope my information is not a highjack of this thread...

If you are lucky, your Big Lots has a small supply of Meguairs wheel brushes.
They about 12 inches long and 3 inches in diameter. These brushes are
excellent for cleaning the back side of the rims. The bristles are soft and
about 1 and 1/2 inches long, so they are gentle on the wheels. I like them
so well I purchased 4 of them. Hopefully, my supply will last for years. I
have checked closely with my detail lights and the brushes do not appear
to be hurting my painted wheels. Megs does have two wheel brushes. One for
the outside of the wheel and the inside wheel brush I have described above....
