Spring Cleaning!

Last weekend I had my first Spring Cleaning of my new Sky (bought the day before Halloween '06). While the weather was warm in November I washed, clayed and sealed the Sky and it looked great.

I bought winter tires/rims to keep my chrome rims away from the ice and road salt of the northeast.

During the winter I would Spray off the road salt as much as possible, but it wasn't always possible due to the temps.

So spring rolls around and I decide to wash/clay/seal the car again.

The Klasse sealant I use really held up well throughout the winter (I wondered if I even needed to do it again). Claying didn't really produce a lot of dirt because the initial wash combined with the sealant seemed to do the trick. I applied the sealant anyways and I'm glad I did because it looks even better.

A week prior I washed my chrome rims and sealed them too as well as blacked the sidewalls of the tires before putting them on the car. They felt so slick. I know they will be so easy to keep clean of brake dust and dirt.

The end result is a car that I can't wait to show off.

Now all I need to do is clean and seal the top, clean and protect the leather, and I'm pretty much set. I need to put some sun block in the glove box so I don't get burned.

Bring on the Summer.
