tree particle advice

I took my car to the office for the first time so I could show it off. I did my first detail yesterday so the car looked amazing when I got there. I parked under a tree because there were trees everywhere. By the time I showed everyone the thing was covered in this yellow dust. I don't know what kind of tree particle it was but my best description is that its a pollen like material but is not sticky. It wipes off if you touch it. I was afraid it would scratch if I just used a california duster so I took the spray and shine and a waffle weave towel and sprayed and wiped all over. Took a full hour and half my bottle of spray and shine. What should I do if this happens again. What would have been better the CA duster or the spray and shine and waffle weave? Do I need some thing else? I will go broke buying spray and shine and this rate and quite insane.

It is tree pollen. Probably will only happen for a few weeks then done. The duster will take it off but you will need to wash the duster after one or two of those wipes. Best, in my opinion, is to leave it until you can hose it off. Only a couple of weeks and the trees stop pollinating.

Can you cover the car? Then you will just have to lay the cover on the driveway and hose it off when you get home. Just take a garbage bag with you so when you roll up the cover you do not get that tree jizz in your trunk.

Anon, you can just wash the car when that happens, the waffle weave is for drying and will last a long time, as far the spray and shine, it has two uses, lubricant for clay , and removing dust, you don't need to use too much just a light mist is fine, but I would just wash it when thathappens. gary

Just take out your trusty California Duster and dust it off. We have that down here this time of year. Its oak pollen here and it even gets on the car when I have it in the garage with the garage door open.

I use my duster on it and then when I can I wash the Sky. I just swipe the yellow pollen , Sneeze, And shake the duster. I got into a rhythem. Wipe , sneeze, shake..Skip...And it don't matter under a tree or no trees around for a mile. That tree pollen can carry for 5 or 6 miles...You know it gets so thick here that I actually had my paint turn to a Forest Green. hehehe

I have the same problem, and I am cutting my trees down, I hate tree sap & pollen, so I went to the source of the problem
