I had bought Liquid Glass and the Pre Cleaner about 4 months ago, but didn't like the way the Pre Cleaner was going on and coming off so I went back to my regular cleaner/polish. Maybe I'll give Liquid Glass another try without the Pre Cleaner and try your method instead when I get "Beast" ready for winter storage in a couple of months.

I think you mean swamp land in Arizona though.

I've been using Perfect Auto Finish the last couple of years with good results. The new owner, Kevin Traver, doesn't post here, but the products are still top notch.

I used everything except ICE, and stopped after Zaino. It is hands down the best that I have used. Probably the cheapest to use also. Here's the thing... I hate to wax. And Zaino is one of the very few products that actually lasts. Wax is just that, great for a car show I guess, but melts with heat.

Are there other products, probably. But I have only tried about 100 of them. Zaino feels better after a year than wax does after a week. They can both shine great.

Wax... What a joke. Seriously, why bother? Do it once, do it right.

So to me all products are just a gimmick that leave you left down, but they do have a pretty bottle. I would only listen to somebody that has used Zaino, and found something better.

I received my Adam's Kit today. I will report on the results as soon as I use it.

Put it this way, we've never lost a customer to Sal. Great company, great product, lasts a long time.

I was myself a Zaino user and returned everything once I saw/read how difficult it was to use and the dangers of using it in the sun, leaving it on too long, etc etc.

Our wax? 50/50 blend. Both our Buttery Wax and Machine SuperWax. 50% carnauba for the shine and depth, 50% polymers to give the carnauba a lifespan. The sun does not burn off our wax, it simply helps set it in and give it some strength.

Give it a try, 110% guarantee standing behind it.

I really don't want to sound negative. I truly appreciate the fact that you are on here, supporting us, and your business.

But we are a tough crowd...
The first sentence sounds impossible to prove. The second sentence sounds misleading. You were a user, but returned it all after the instructions.

Step 1 is wash... Assuming that everybody does this first.
Step 2 Well anybody that has clay bar'd their car knows that the wax job is way better if this is done first. Especially you.
Step 3 is apply Adams, Zaino, or something from Walmart.
Everything else is optional. Just make sure that your towels do not contain any grit.

If your product contains something that will give it a lifespan then it is way beyond Walmart carried products.

Fair 'nuff

I was a user of a buddies Zaino (already set to use), went to buy my own and once I saw I had to mix things and adds drops to this and that I returned everything.

Step 1 is Wash
Step 2 is Clay Bar
Step 3 is Polish
Step 4 is Wax

Now of course there are steps mixed in with all those (dress tires, wheels, trim, interior, engine bay...) but those are the 4 steps that kinda set the tone for everything.

It amazes me how many people still don't use a real polish and think a wax is what brings out the shine.

Step 1 is Wash
Step 2 is Clay Bar
Step 3 is Polish
Step 4 is Wax With the stuff I have been using for 4+ years, they call it "sealing" not "waxing", they don't wax anything, they "seal" they polish the shine and then enhance the perfection by sealing it....

Now of course there are steps mixed in with all those (dress tires, wheels, trim, interior, engine bay...) but those are the 4 steps that kinda set the tone for everything.
As an aside, I will be trying your products I'm sure once I use up my current supplies. I usually don't wax since down here in Florida, couple or rains or washes, and in our sun, that weak stuff, don't care who makes it, melts off.. but, I am a believer of doing & trying new products stuff. Always open to a better longer lasting product.. BUT it has to beat what it is going against..

The drops are optional. I only use them if it is colder out (AKA if your in a tee shirt no drops). Every coat except the first is optional.

MidniteBlues has it right. The sun melts it off. I used to prefer sealers to waxes as well because they tend to last much longer.

Here's a cool tip. After your last step of whatever you use, get a spray bottle and a clean cotton towel. Spray, wipe. Sounds odd, but it will give you an amazing shine.

Skip the cotton and go with microfiber. Not the CostCo/Pep Boys stuff though, that's hard as a rock.

I agree with the sun and wax, that's why our waxes aren't 100% carnauba, they are our 50/50 mix with polymers added to get some lifespan out of them.

I might have to give that a try (microfiber). I have done some reading. Seems that your customer service is second to none. Excellent packaging, phone support, etc. You also have a detail spray that is supposed to be fantastic. So I'll try that when my supply runs low.

Sorry for taking over the thread... Back to ICE.

My experience with the Turtle wax ICE. First, Love the smell of the stuff.

Second I have used the spray way after a wash. Make sure the car is dry and no spots. I used it on my Ion RL and the ex's T/A with no problems. On the sky it just doesn't do the job. Streaks and looks like crap. I have also used the liquid clay bar. After attempting to use their aplicator pad and thier instructions I finally got frusterated enough and got out my buffer. Wet the buffer pad down as well as the vehicle and apply the liquid clay bar like you are going to wax the car as normal. Got out all the swirls, minor scrathces, and was very smoot. Then I use the Turtle wax black wax as a base wax coat then the McGuires tech wax (Both the liquid). Shines the car up like new.

In short. On the black Skys do not use the polish (especially the spray) but the liquid clay bar works very well if used correctly and with a buffer.

My .02

Man I love ICE so much I gave it to a neighbor to use when she was looking for something since see knows I'm into detailing and I have NOT asked for its return. Hate the stuff for many reasons, that stuff leaves water run off marks after it rains, is a dirt collector for those that only detail 2-3 times a year (like myself) and in general is not the stuff I like to use. Finally I was also disappointed in its durability, didn't last as long down here as the product I currently use. The ONLY advantage is/was that it was quick to put on AND I might add can be used in sun light.. Other than that, I at least did NOT dump the stuff and it was used by that young lady..

I agree with dipolly. Not on black. I despise the product with a passion.

I've used ICE on my black sky. See the post here My Hand Detailing Results. It makes it shine like it was a black mirror.

However, I've found Meguair's NXT Wax to be even better.

Nice job. That did come out veeeeerryyy nice !

Note though from what I read you're using ICE paste. We are talking about the liquid that makes it shine like the mirror in the childrens' bathroom.
