Lisa,

Thank you for calling me so we could get you taken care of. If anyone has a problem, I can tell you from first hand experience, that things get taken care of quicker when they are brought streight to our attention, not posted on the forums for us to find.

Cheers,

Brian

After having racks on my '71 Vette and various motorcycles I know I will be using the one I put on the Sky, but it is not an easy process to install it. I have been working on vehicles since I was about 11 or 12 and this was one of the harder things I have installed and yes the instructions were a big part of that; especially the placement on/between the humps. I did put clear body tape at everyplace I thought it might hit or rub paint. That being said, I thought it would have fit better, installed easier, and been a bit smaller so it fit between the two humps. Would I buy it again; since this is my daily driver I would have installed some kind of rack for those times when I overload the trunk, but that being said, I am not sure it would have been this one.

Kappasphere luggage rack

To say the least, the installation leaves a lot to be desired. I replaced the strap bolts with 1 1/2 inch stainless bolts, the instructions said to use a vice grips to bring the 2 straps together but the 1 inch bolts are just too short. Besides, if you use theirs you will need a second set of hands. I tested the rack out last week on a trip to the mountains and it worked out fine.
