Low-Profile Option Now Available On All Screens Kappa Windscreens Makes.

As many of you have read on the forum, Kappa Windscreens has recently introduced the first-ever Solstice/Sky TEMPERED-GLASS windscreen in two cabin-mount versions: high profile (HP) and low profile(LP). We are now going to offer the LP version of all our different screen types: colored, inlaid, etched or tempered-glass. This basically means you can have the low-slung look of the trunk-mount version in a cabin-mount model.

The advantages of either Kappa Windscreen's HP or LP cabin-mount Windblades are:
  • Can remain in place with the top raised, no contact with the top like trunk-mounts.
  • No top-up removal required like some trunk-mounts.
  • No squashing of the the trunk seals is caused.
  • No contact with the deck lid as it is closed which can cause scratching on the lower section of the screen like on deck-mount versions.
  • Rock-Solid attachment to pre-existing attachment points with no drilling into the trim, body panels, etc.
  • No need to stick tape/velcro-like adhesives to your roadster's interior or replace it if it stretches over time.
  • And higher theft-resistance of screw attachments.

All screens on the website are HP. The LP screens must be ordered via phone at this time. The pricing for HP and LP is the same. For comparative purposes, here are side-by-side LP vs HP cabin-mount screens.

So with the low profile/in cabin mount, you won't have to remove it with the top up?

If so, You've sold me!!

With either HP or LP cabin-mount, you don't have to remove it with the top raised; neither HP nor LP even touch the top. Trunk mounted screens, typically, if left in place, will come in contact with the rear window and top, press against it and bend.

I also have no problems at all with my Wind Restrictor V2 staying in with the top up.
