Robert can you work with this logo? This was a car that was built by my family many years ago. One of the first American Roadsters.

I would like to put this on the WR2

I just got a peek at your family's car - cool car. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apperson
Have any of them in the family still?

That is a great logo to have on your Wind Restrictor!! I'm sure he can make it work for you and if you get it you'll have to post a picture.

None in our family for my close relatives. The Apperson Brothers were cousins. Within their immediate family I suspect there are. I have found a few sites with private collectors. None of them Appersons.

Robert, will it still be possible to get the V1 design as well? Not sure exactly yet what we want to do, but I think we'd like the version where there aren't exposed velcro or EL strips or anything when the restrictor is not in place. Personally, just think the V1 has a cleaner look to it.

Also, my wife was thinking about using a 'radioactive' symbol on her WR (like the three triangles thing). Got anything in your design database like that yet?

UPDATE ON v2 WR!

The new versions test results are back and some improvements have been made prior to any official shipments.

In the beginning we planed to use a thin acrylic decorative brushed aluminum looking cover plate that goes on over the front to cover the light strip and Velcro, but we changed our minds. The acrylic could brake if removed so we decided to use a thin high quality laser cut 100% solid brushed stainless steel plate for the cover. The cover plate lines up with the curves and bottom perfectly. We also added 2 more "tracks" at the bottom edge that are etched out that the Velcro fits into this will keep the new v2 WR from vibrating at very high speeds. Vibration could cause the thin factory paint on the center console to scratch.

FOR A LIMITED TIME Wind Restrictor is also now including a high quality custom push button switch that mounts perfectly in the center console in the factory hole so no drilling is required. In the near future these will cost extra and be offered as a added accessory. Orders for the new v2 WR will now be processed and can be shipped out in time for Christmas if placed SOON.

Thanks for your interest and God bless you all.

We are working on a new web site that will be much better than the current one, fully programmed with all the product codes and shopping cart. I will keep the forum posted on the progress... and any comments or suggestions on it are appreciated greatly... Please make them to me personally though if you could. THE best way to reach me is not through PM's but through EMAIL or a phone call and email to confirm.
Thanks!

VERY cool it would have to be totally redrawn from scratch but can be done for you on a new v2 WR.

Let me know when you are ready for us to get started.

Thanks for your interest.

Sounds like a neat idea for the etching! Now as stated in the recent update. We have decided to add a stainless steal plate to cover all the bottom portion of the new version. The photos so far are just of the first prototypes. Over all the new v2 will look like a million dollars just wait till people start getting them in and install them. The thickness is 1 quarter inch, rounded and flame polished to perfection. The etchings will be even more detailed due to the new material we use. The lighting will emit much grater due to the thickness. It will be a winner trust me.

I am not trying to talk you out of the v1. Trust me I love it as much as every one that has purchased it, and when I say EVERYONE I don't use that term loosely. It looks like a stock item, at car shows I have been to everyone thinks its a rear window of some sort that had to have come with the car... The new SKY roadster is so amazing and the body lines so defined... it really impresses everyone so much and to add a v1 WR to it makes it look even more futuristic and such an awesome way to set yours apart from all other cars! There are advantages to both versions but none more than the other...

Now we have also thought about the exposed Velcro that will be able to be seen when the WR is not in place. For this reason we will make available a plate or a thin panel that is the same color as the panel it self that can go in place of the v2 this will make a very attractive way to make the Velcro and light strip "disappear" if for some reason you don't want the WR in place at all times. I do agree about the v1 looking very clean, but this one will to. Its really just a personal preference. I like the v1 personally due to the discreetness of it all but then again the v2 has some advantages too! Man what a hard decision... ALSO we have decided to bring the center of the v2 down a tiny bit so now it looks sleeker... but still slightly taller in the center than v1 so it may deflect a tiny bit more wind turbulence but this has NOT YET been proven.
