Race Precision R1 Tune now available.

The tune for our 2.0R1 package is now available.

Details:

- GT exhaust +6-20whp
- Stage 2 intercooler +20whp
- GT downpipe +7-18whp
- R1 tune +18-25whp
- Dealership will NOT be able to trace the ecu.
- Performance guaranteed.
- works with CA 91 octane.

The R1 tune is done at our facility so those of you who want the tune will have to send your ecu to us. Expect a 1-2 day turnaround. Those of you who are local can schedule and appointment with us to have the flash done.

Our tune is completely untracable from your dealership, meaning if you go to get service done, they will not be able to tell that your ecu has been reflashed. Our tune will also NOT stress your turbo out by pushing 20-23psi of boost. At those boost levels, your turbo is just pushing more hot air. Because of this, the tune will not significantly shorten the live of your turbo.

Price of the R1 tune is $675.

R1 tune --TESTING Today--

Today I will be driving around the malibu/pacific coast highway areas of california testing out the R1 tune from Race precision. So far so great. I will be doing these drives WITHOUT the down pipe for fair judgement . I am however running with the GT exhaust and stage 2 intercooler that I've had on for quite some time.
The first most noticeable difference is the cars more linear acceleration. And, of course, a good jump in HP. I think mine on the dyno was 18+ extra but I know they will will pulling more out of it soon. (The plans are to get about 25+ but they want to see how my car reacts for many many miles).
I'll see if I can get some video tomorrow and I'll post it.

..and it could be so simple: bsr stage 1 plus 41 hp

Maybe. But ask yourself 2 questions:

1) are you positive this tune is not over boosting and creating potential problems for your car? (I have my bets)

2) what type of dyno are you using and are the numbers over inflated?

However, I will go out and do some more real world testing.

Don't know yet, I have yet to see any confirmation from anyone about the dyno numbers.

I have the BSR PPC tuner, the Hahn IC and the Magnaflow Quad exhaust.

Nothing has been installed yet. I will get a base dyno run done on the car on a Dynojet.

I will then install the BSR tune no other mods and post the dyno.

Then I will Install the IC and take and remove the tune back to stock. Then dyno again. Then install the BSR tune and Dyno then post those numbers.

Finally I will get the RPI Downpipe with the cat and dyno modify it and dyno with the IC, DP and 3" Magnaflow exhaust (this is just what I have) I will dyno with and without the BSR tune installed on that one.

I will post up each dyno run and show the difference.

Our turbo is a rather wimpy turbo though. I have heard that a GT??? turbo which flows a hell of a lot more can just be bolted in and the stock injectors seem to hang. That will probably be the biggest bang for the buck right there with the complimenting mods I am sure it will bring up the power to allow at least a 12 second runs. I would be happy with a low 12 second car.

This will be in a new thread though.

I would love to see the numbers on all of these dyno's. Good thought on this. Every time that you install a new MOD you always wonder how much HP you just added or some times subtracted .

What is this GT turbo that you speak of?

Maybe a silly question, but how are these performance enhancements affecting gas mileage?

yes, but rain keeps delaying me out here in Los Angeles. The car doesn't like rain that much. I will try again on Saturday.
