RearSite Camera For Solstice & Sky

While GM Roadster was attending SEMA this year one of our main focus’s was on products for the Solstice & Sky. As you all know using the rear view mirror alone for backing up is dangerous to say the least, so we found this ingénues new product from Rostra. It is a standard rear view mirror (same size as the non-Onstar mirror in the Solstice & Sky) with a 2.5” Color monitor hidden behind the mirror itself. It’s connected to a very well designed rear mounted camera, so when you shift into reverse the camera activates and so does the monitor in the mirror showing you a full 180 degree view behind your car!

That's a very cool alternative than putting it in dash....

I assume you lose the functionality of both the phone and OnStar if you put this in your SKY.....

I am installing this one on a pre-Onstar Solstice. However, there is a company working on a model that is a direct replacement for the Onstar unit... As soon as we get it, we'll publish the info.

I'm sure I speak for many when I say that I have an extreme interest in the "on-star" capable model! Please keep us in the loop on it.

If you need someone to test, I am more than willing to test in the name of NCRoadsters!
