I just have to add that this whole setup is awesome! I am seriously looking at the DP/catback option.

Questions

Eloy, if we get the package on the east coast with no tune, are we still guaranteed the 300hp at the wheel? Does the price include installation? What are the torque figures for the 300hp combo? I really hate that there is a way to get the parts, but no tune.....

its kinda of hard to guarantee whp numbers since everyone is getting "other" parts like intake, etc. We are still working towards the 300whp on our dyno. We have seen good gains over stock but the base runs on our dyno are fairly low to begin with. With the whp gains we have seen, power is easily well over the 320-330hp crank range. All gains are done with a STOCK or RPi modified airbox. Those with hot air intakes should see different results. ECUs can be shipped to us for a reflash.

Remember how our test numbers went:

- 6-20whp from GT exhaust
- 20-22whp from intercooler
- 7-28whp from downpipe (depending on gt race or gt)
- 18-25whp from tune

All tests were done with California 91 octane. Those out of state with access to 93 octane+ may see better results.

Interested in the R2 package for sure! You wouldn't happen to have any installers in Canada? Or just know any shops that you would trust to do it up here? And will you ship the kit up here to us Canucks?

Please let me know, this is super exciting!

Edit: :S Will this work on an Auto?

How much for the kit shipped to Erie, PA?

Can your tune be used with a Solo Exhaust?
Can your tune be used with a Solo Exhaust and another Inter Cooler?
I understand from your website that the tune uses all your compents.
But what if all I want is the tune?

Emission Compliant???

As stated earlier, I'm definitely interested in the R2 package when it's available. Although, I'm curious to know if the R2 package will be compliant with state emission requirements. This car is my daily driver so it's kind of a major concern for me. Any input you might have on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
T

Eloy,

What are the torque figures for the 300whp tune(average) and what would the turn around time look like for the tune if I purchased the package on the east coast and shipped my ECU to you?

We dont have any dealers in Canada at this time. The parts are pretty basic (exhaust, dp, intercooler)

The tune is $675 + shipping. I have no idea how or what the gains, if any, will be with those components.

Torque and hp are basicly the same........depending on supporting mods of course. Those of you who have a full 3" exhaust should expect a more peaky powerband. I know when designing out GT system we did NOT want to go 3" out. The exhaust gasses are simply too cool back there to keep that same diameter.

Some of you may have noticed the change in hp ratings from our tune. 300whp can be achieved depending on the dyno. We were able to get this at 20+psi. It was my decision and I chose not to go this route because it was a lot of stress on the factory turbo. That, along with type of fuel used, was a concern for us. Those who want 20psi could opt for the BSR option.

Eloy -

You mentioned R2 would not be street legal. What about R1?

You would have to check with your local laws to see if running an aftermarket cat will be categorized as not legal. Our cat is NOT CARB approved. To certify a cat for a specific application, we would need to prove that the cat is efficient for 100k miles. I dont think anyone has that many miles on a sky. Aside from the downpipe, the R1 package is legal in most districts.

That being the said, if an individual wanted to remain compliant with state emission laws, would it be possible (or even worthwhile) to do the R2 package without the GT exhaust & downpipe?

So whats the problem? Why hasn't someone installed these items and go and get state tested? That'll tell ya if you pass or fail..? If ya fail, you remove the stuff and go back.. and get retested, there is usually X numbers of days that you can get retested after you "corrected" for the failure &/or problem.. it's not complicated..

California allows for like 5 years on a new car before it has to be smogged. Im sure well have more data around 2011. Im signed up for an exhaust and new cat on 3/1/08. Ill definitly be holding on to my old cat just in case but am hoping that it will be alright. Im not sure how it works if you get voluntarily smogged. If someone knows someone who can give me a smog test and not flag me if I fail I will be glad to do it for the good of the community.

Hehe, of course.

We had a chance to dyno a car again today. The bottom line was a stock car with our intercooler, exhaust and dp. The top is with our tune.

Brown lines are before our tune. The red lines are after the tune.
