[quote=RPIpower;288534]The intercooler + exhaust gave us an average of 35whp over stock. We say average because we dont just dyno the car once and give you the highest number like many other manufacturers. We dyno a car with our product, drive the car for about 1000 miles, dyno it again, drive for another 1000 miles, dyno again, etc. This allows us to see what the ecu is doing and how it responds to the mods.
With the addition of the downpipe, we seen an average gain of 7whp (with the cat). The race pipe averaged a 10-15whp gain. Note that our downpipe does NOT neck down like others on the market.QUOTE]
Got my RACEPIPE yesterday! looks awsome i will tackle putting this on sunday and see if it can be done with out putting the car on a lift.. ill make a VID of the car WITH and WITH OUT the cat so you can do a computer compair! i dont really care about loudness or anything.. but i know alot of people do!
That would be awesome if you could put that vid up. Looking forward to it.........and thanks for doing it!
Well Saturn of Tucson got all of the parts in (Intercooler, Down Pipe, and GT Exhaust) All I have to say is OMG! What a difference those make. It is like a completely new car. When you hit the gas she wakes up and hauls ass down the road while at the same time letting everyone know that your coming. Awesome job to the people at Race Precision and the people that made it happen at Saturn of Tucson.

Glad you like it, but for me the noise would drive me nuts and drive the people around me nuts. It's like the guy that has a open pipe Harley Davidson...he loves the sound and thinks everyone else should too

I hear ya on the sound issue, too loud is not fun for everyday driving .
I had the Magnaflow full system on the 07 Base for a year and loved it until we hit the HighwayAfter driving the 08 RL around with stock exhaust you realize just how loud it was !
I am always looking for more HP/Performance but is anyone out there offering this without (in my opinion loud exhaust) ?I know with motorcycles they offer quieter vs race baffles
To RPI or anyone else out there,What I want is more performance, but also a sleeper."Looks and sounds stock" but runs like a bat out of hell What can be done using the stock exhaust on the RL to increase performance
Remove cat? Don't have emission testing where I live. Intercooler? Still do not understand what this does? Intake? Installed K&N and not much difference.

I have purchased a resonator for my Magnaflow exhaust(to loud fo every daydriving) to quiet it down...if it doesn't do the job then off it goes and back on with the stock system

Dido on this comment. RPi makes a nice looking exhaust, but the bullet mufflers would be to loud for most people.
Anyone try the Aero Turbine 3030XL mufflers yet. They have a muffler and resonator all in one package...I wonder if they would work on place of the bullet mufflers on the RPi exhaust...ELOY are ya listening???

I really dont think our exhaust is loud at all. DB tests have shown ours to be in line if not quieter than the Magnaflow. The Magnaflow gets louder, depending on how its driven. We have seen Magnaflow systems get louder simply after a few dyno sessions.
Although we would like to make all of you happy, its just not possible. Our products are NOT for everyone. HappyamI has the 2nd exhaust we have ever made and she puts some miles on her car. If its not loud for her, I really cant see it being too loud for anyone else.
i have the RPI GT Exhaust. love it - sound reminds me of a 911.
slightly louder than stock (per the wife)
it is hardly noticable below 3k rpm - very nice purr.
wot gives me the note i wanted off the line and the extra hp always helps!
both my brothers have MF on their tundras - nice but too much like a mustang for me.
("clumsy and proud of it!")
waiting to hear the downpipe before i addon. (also hesitant on the CA emissions down the line. but could always replace w/ original.)
eloy, thanks for great products and service.
later

Did I hear my name here? Hey guys, I was really concerned about the DB level because I am a "more mature" woman and didn't think something really loud would be appropriate. However, I have to tell you I LOVE the sound this baby makes now and I get compliments constantly on how good my exhaust system sounds...even from women! Eloy is right though, this system isn't for any wimps, or I believe he said it isn't for everyone. I have taken two 3,000 mile road trips this last year, and I just crank up my CD's and enjoy the ride.
I LOVE MY SKY...AND GT EXHAUST SYSTEM!!!!

Haha. Awesome way of putting it. We sell some of the MF ones here also. Most change their mind when they see the two side by side though.

Mature? This coming from someone that drove fast in the mountains with a sling around her arm? (manual trans).

Hey, I didn't want to say OLD woman! It is mandatory to grow older, but not to grow up! And mature doesn't equate to smart either! I'll admit, I did drive with my right arm in a sling and shifted/drove with my left hand on a curvey mountain road. I must have been a race driver in another life!!!! That was my first run with the pack and I was only six weeks out from rotator cuff surgery, with a brand new broken-in Sky RL. I wasn't going to miss it. Eloy is only jealous because he couldn't keep up with me!!!!
I LOVE MY SKY!!!!

Eloy,
I absolutely agree with your comment about the Magnaflow system getting louder usually after you stomp on her a bit. Quit annoying! Now don't you think I'm in anyway picking on the RPi exhaust (it's a beautiful looking system) because I'm not. I was just wondering if you have tried or heard the Aero Turbine XL mufflers before and if you did, what you thought of them??
