Saturn Of Santa Clarita - Supporting Dealer...

We are excited to be the first supporting dealer here at SKY forums. The spirit and passion people have for their SKYs is wonderful to see.

Our retail organization currently has SKYs available for purchase now. We accept GM employee pricing and supplier on both the SKY and Redline SKY. We can of course custom order you a SKY in the color and equipment of your choice. These orders will be sold at MSRP with no markup or accessories unless you choose to add them. Contact me for information via PM or email me through the forum about availability for vehicles in stock or custom orders.

A little background about who we are: Saturn of Santa Clarita is located north of Los Angeles in Southern California in the city of Valencia. We are a Saturn Summit Award retailer. The Summit award is given to those few retailers nationally who excel in customer service, sales volume, community involvement and employee training. We are proud to have won this honor four straight years and are the only retailer in California to have ever won this award. We have also won the GM Dealer of the Year award every year since Saturn retailers became elgiible to win. This is based on similar criteria to the Summit award but is based on the entire marketing area.

Also - as a part of the Galpin organization - we can customize your SKY however you like. (Galpin is home to the show "Pimp My Ride") A simple 3" Magnaflow for your Redline? Done. Want a fully custom paint job and interior? Right this way.

You can reach our website at Galpin Motors - New & Used Aston Martin, Jaguar, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Saturn & Honda Dealer in North Hills, California (CA).
You can call us at 661 284 3800
You can contact us via PM or forum email

Certain accessories can be removed, others cannot. For example - Lo Jack (if installed) cannot be removed. We can certainly order one if what we have is not to your liking.

Are GM Employee and supplier discounts available on the rest of the Saturn lineup?

What is included in “The GM Supplier Discount for Friends" program?
(The old GM in the driveway program).
Currently we will take supplier pricing on everything including the SKY. Friends and family program works just like normal supplier pricing. You get a 9 digit authorization number and bring it to the store you want to buy your car from.

Also, glad to hear you are accepting orders again, does that include Redlines?

Rich - great question. I love your car by the way. I was suspect on the color combo but in person it looks great- even with the top up!

The answer to your question is found in my original post (look up)

These folks are the real DEAL, Thanks to Tim & John i now have Permagrin. I found exactly what i ordered back in Aug. and had little hopes of getting. It was well worth the 800 mi. round trip, the return trip was awesome.

Hmm. Well, they have a base Yellow Sky on the lot, but it's a manual transmission. Good news I guess is that the wait there is a bit shorter for the 2.4 than the turbo . I can't speak for them but think it's running a couple of months (2 or 3 ,guessing). You might want to ring them up see how well my guesses hit, lol. Ask for John or Tim. Good luck.

Thank You!

Last week I purchased a Saturn Sky from SSC, and I am definitely very happy with the car. It is everything I wanted and more. The purchase would not have happened without this Forum and I want everyone who has contributed advice and encouragement to my decisions regarding my purchase know how much I appreciate their contributions.

I began visiting the Forum about nine months ago when I began thinking about a Sky. My local dealer went out of business about a year ago, so I had to work with dealers in the Southern California area who were not in my immediate neighborhood. I contacted a dealer in the San Diego area about in the July-August timeframe, and put my name on an interest list for a Redline and never heard from them. I also put a deposit on a Redline at a different dealer south of where I live, and they held it without entering into the VOM system. I then contacted John at Saturn of Santa Clarita.

I have praised Saturn of Santa Clarita a lot on this Forum, but let me explain why. SSC is a Forum supporting vendor, which gives them the right to use their name in our communications. But the difference between them and the other two dealers that I tried to work with earlier is the difference between night and day. As someone who has been a consultant in the IT industry I know how important it is to simply hold to a simple disciple of defining a good product that customers want, delivering it without hassle and as promised, and providing complete communications about the promise. It is very simple but apparently very difficult for some dealers. SSC did the simple things everyday, but at the end it all ends up in an excellent relationship and a most enjoyable purchase. Though I knew what I wanted, they provided all the information necessary for me to buy what I wanted, and they were both professional and friendly throughout the process. They say it is nothing special, but I disagree. Consistent valuing the customer by communicating about different ways to achieve an end, and statusing the customer regularly about progress towards completing the purchase is simple common sense that I have found to be very uncommon in practice. John and his team did it, and they deserve a lot of credit. I cannot recommend them enough.

The last few years have been very lean years for the Saturn brand, and my personal opinion is that every dealer has felt a lot of hurt and has dealt with the pain in different ways. Some reduced staff and correspondingly services, and some have let the facilities run down. Saturn of Santa Clarita is a member of a very significant dealer group, and my guess is that SSC kept up their standards because the dealer group required it and was there to support them in doing it.

I noted their facilities and service. The facility looks new, as nice as any new Honda, Toyota, or Nissan dealer, and it appears adequately staffed. The service department is large and staff appears knowledgeable, at least they know how to lift a Sky. They are also open on Saturdays.

I include them on my tag line because I believe they earned the distinction.

Now if I could only get them to open a branch location in my area.

I bought my Redline from SSC on 4/14/07 (just over a week ago), and had a wonderful car buying experience!

I'd definately recommend them to anyone new car shopping.

So how much would it cost for custom paint?? I bought my sky from you!

I have the midnight blue sky with rims and blacked out lights etc.. OH! and my top has recently been sliced. How much does that cost to replace?

Thanks.
