I'm confused about the BOV. Since the RL has a BOV intergrated into it's turbo, what's the advantage of adding a second one?

i believe their system bypasses the stock wastegate and replaces it with their or someone else's blow off valve.

Intakes shipped on Friday. I also would like to have a video clip with the sound of the BOV. I could not keep a Sky RL long enough to even enjoy the car. T/B’s will be released next week. I will keep you posted.

The Sky does have a wastgate integrated on the turbo. This controls boost pressure into the engine due to spring size. The BOV on the intake plenum releases boost pressure between shifts, so the turbine does not back spool (Turbo Lag). Two different units used on turbo kits.

intercooler pipes from sms

I should have said intercooler pipes not downpipes. Anyway found out the answer myself by experimenting. By adjusting it more to the hard setting my car performs better.

Pipeping

How many bends are eliminated from the piping compared to the stock piping?

Has the length of the piping been decreased?

Is the only real benefit the ability to add an after market BOV for all us rice boys

And how about some colors

I am worried about this intake. If you look at the dyno graphs, it appears that when the "after" graphs were done to show the increase in HP, the dyno did not begin recording until 3500 rpms. Notice that the graph comes form a very high point and then down when the dyno began recording. I would imagine this was done to hide low rpm torque and HP loss. Show me a dyno sheet from 100rpm?

Why?

First off, a dyno from 100rpm isn't even possible. Your engine would die. You *might* be able to pull from 1000 rpm, but I doubt it. Could have been an automatic car on the dyno, which are more difficult to dyno from lower rpms.

Whats the matter though, any kind of spirited driving occurs above 3500 rpms. Any loss of power below that you'd never notice with your foot in the pedal. "Around-town" cruising? Your not using 100% throttle anyway, again, you'd never see the max potential at the low rpms, and would never notice the difference.

It doesnt take but 10 or 20hp to keep moving at 45 mph.
