2.4 engine swap

Have to change out my 2.4 engine on my wife's sky.
I've been offered a 2.4 with ENGINE 2.4L VIN B 8TH DIGIT OPT LE5 CALIF EMISSIONS OPT NU1.
Mine does not have calf emissions. can they still be swapped?

My guess is that yes it can be done. I have never read on any of the forums of issues with California only engines. My understanding is that the ECM tune is Ca unique.

I think just about every car was built with CA Emissions installed. I've never seen one offered with and without.

What are you doing with the old engine? What happened to it?

A family member who, I will not name, the primary driver neglected to tell me "they" were adding water to the radiator every few weeks.
on my part I didn't check before I put it away for winter. now water in oil, oil in water. Put new head gasket on no better probably a cracked block.
The cars in such good shape and I've done swap's before.
the Sky does not list NU1 on plate the donner car does. I thought it maybe a different head or air injection on manifold etc.

Damn. Was going to see about getting the old engine from you for a build but a cracked block is no good for that.

What year is your car and what year is the donner?
