--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
2007 Saturn SKY between VIN #s 7Y104828 and 7Y105826

2007 Pontiac Solstice between VIN#s 7Y104824 and 7Y105814

Due to a programming error for the Drivers Information Center (DIC), the following DIC warning messages, while displayed, will not allow a customer to scroll through the normal DIC display of Odometer, MPG, Engine Temp, Trip A/B, Fuel Range, etc.

TRUNK AJAR, ICE POSSIBLE, DOOR AJAR, LOW FUEL, CHANGE OIL SOON, EPS FAULT ACTIVE, PARK BRAKE, BRAKE FLUID LOW, REDUCED ENGINE POWER, AUTO LIGHTS ON, AUTO LIGHTS OFF, CHECK GAS CAP, AIRBAG FAILED, LOW TRACTION, CRUISE ENGAGED, STABILITY NOT READY, ENGINE COOLING MODE ACTIVE, SERVICE ESC, SERVICE TRACTION, ESC OFF, TRACTION OFF, COMPETITIVE MODE, ESC ACTIVE, SERVICE TIRE MONITOR

Recommendation/Instructions:
This condition is the result of a programming issue within the vehicle system and will be corrected with an upgrade to the body control module (BCM) programming in the August 2006 time frame.

DO NOT attempt any repairs of the DIC or BCM system for this condition. A service bulletin will be issued as soon as the revised BCM calibration is available

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
