AM reception is fine. FM is degraded somewhat for distant stations, but local come in just fine. (Actually, I use my iPod mostly, just wanted the stubbie for looks.)

I think I like the black better, but I'm gonna keep both and change out when I feel like it!

Don't have my car yet, but it will be midnight blue also. I already have a silver stubbie antenna that will match the other chrome accessories on the car.
