The whole engine bay is a thermos for the engine. That's why there's a radiator and coolant flowing through it.

Sorry, not trying to sound smart just staying the obvious.

Has anyone actually made the hood and fender vents functional? I would think that would be more beneficial, no?

Do Not Open vents in the hood.
Ask Tammy.
If any rain into the engine bay.
Codes and shut down on I95.

As stated on the first page, all vents on my car have been opened. Runs much cooler. Ask Tammy? She's a women driving, that explains much of what happened.

Doh! Game over huh? I guess that defeats the purpose... lol

I should know better.. my truck with a GM engine and mexico electronics is still pissed at me for putting it underwater..
