Driver side power window won't go down

Fuses? Wiring? Glad its up and not down.

This trouble have many reason I guess.
Switch, motore, Wire reel (roller made by Resin. if brake the roller when moter cannot move wire)
You should check the indside door opent door panel.

Check fuses FIRST. You have a set in the passenger floor board, and another under the hood on the right side above the turbo.

If the fuses are good, then it could be a window switch. I ran into the same issue with my Sky. Sometimes it'd work, others it wouldn't. The fix shouldn't be too expensive if you DIY. I was desperate to get the car back to working condition so I got it fixed by the dealer for a couple hundred bucks.

how about passenger side ? If you can move passenger side window, I guess fuse will not brake down. Koobie opinion "check power window switch" ya, When the door is opened, the power window switch is exposed to rain.

The grey thing is the driver-side switch, and uses the black relay to actually operate the motor because of the included auto-down circuit. My bet would be the relay is bad.

The other black thing with the 6 'pins' on top is the passenger switch and that one operates the motor directly (no relay, no auto-down).

My recommendation is: if the pass side works then the fuse is good, appears to be common...

Next I would check for a short when the down button is depressed between, C + D wires, Dark Green and Tan - if you have a meter. You can also check the pass side's switch to confirm - checking A + D, also dark green and tan.

Before you do the next step lets wait for someone else to approve:

If all else fails short drivers side C + D wires and see if the window goes down, if it does then the switch is bad - most probable cause....

This is actually a great idea to test it out. Unfortunately the steps are wrong since you have to short two sets of wires to operate the motor, plus "D" is the passenger side

The following pic show the connector, wires and colors (verified for both my Solstice and two other Skys). Just look at the connector and the wires directly attached (the other spliced wires and breaks are for my auto up/down mod, so ignore them). To test as dffr1 suggests you'd have to short BOTH G->C and H->F to get the window to go down. Then G->F and H->C to get it up again (or vice versa).

I guess that you are saying that the first schematic is wrong, it shows
D and H as common to both motors, which would be odd to do ?

It is wrong, yes, but only in that the written-in "H" should actually be an "A". "D" is shown correctly, as only going to the passenger window.
