Just about finished painting the engine cover, thought I'd attach photos for your comments!

For some reason, I was half expecting to see something that had been gone over with a bedazzler. (Don't know why.)

Looks good.

Thanks to all! I used Duplicolor products. Adhesion promoter, metalcast gtround coat, metalcast red, then hit the valleys and letters with a "silver leafing" paint pen. Of course, I did all this AFTER I ran the cover through the dishwasher to remove all grease and thoroughly rinsing with lots of water. Gave it a wipe with acetone for good measure and began spraying.

I used the same metalcast red on my rear calipers.

Feel free to ask any other questions!

Krylon Fusion spray paint for plastic

Wiped down with mineral spirits for prep and sprayed 2 coats. Dries in 15 mins. This paint is specifically made for superior adhesion to plastic with virtually no prep. No primer needed, no adhesion promoter needed. The finish is far nicer on this than the one I did on my 03 Silverado engine cover using Duplicolor with adhesion promoter, paint and clear coat.
