FOB battery low light comes on the [dic]

I was thinking if anyone has had this problem? The FOB light comes on after starting the car. Stating the battery low light. We changed the batterys and even changed my fob and had the dealer reset the new transmitter for both of them. The light comes back on. Everytime the key is recycles [turned on]. To get it off the screen you have to reset to odometer etc. The dealer said to keep the old transmiter away from the car and see if it resets. No change. Has anybody have a clue out there? Thanks ED

Where did the new batteries come from?

I got the fob battery low message once in April. I just traded in the car. Problem solved!

The new fob is factory gm and the recommed battery. And the other we replace with the same number. We seperated the two fob's left one home and still sets the dic. The chev dealer didn't know how to reset? Any ideas? ED

Chevy dealer should call Saturn tech support and inquire.

I can only guess. My first guess is the transmitter sends the battery low code. The second guess is how does the DIC knows the battery is now strong, and if the reset is via the remote or if there is an internal reset. I'll guess it's either the absence of a low bat signal or maybe it needs a good bat signal. Don't know.

Try exercising the remote with the new battery away from vehicle. Then exercise it several times next to vehicle. Unlock. Lock. Pop trunk. Alarm. Etc. See what happens.

Boggie Thanks for the help. I spent a little bit of time checking out the circuit that sends the message.The B+ Fuse #56 for S band,Onstar/RKE that has battery power all of the time goes to the[RCDLR]then one path goes to the body control module and the other goes to instrument panel cluster for the message request. I think I reset the message center by removing the fuse for 30 seconds and go through the FOB cycle. [Door locks,trunk lock, panic,ect] Start and shut off the engine and do it 1 more time. My wife said the message is gone. So I either repaired the problem or it needed time to reset [cycling the switch] It makes more sense to remove the battery source from the RCDLR and body contol module. I have to say the shop manuals [2] my wife got me have paid for them self 10 times over so far. Thanks again . ED
