I do not drive the Sky anymore

Well this week has been a dang hot one with feels like temps in the triple digit mark. I wanted to go get some vittles and jumped into the Sky. Cranked it up and turned on the A/C and then the fan. The air came on but no fan. No speeds worked. Now I am sweating like a stuck boar hog and getting POd at the Sky. I checked all the fuses and they are good. It is to late to take to the dealership, so the next day I take it in and the mechanic says it is the fan motor. None in stock and GM is sending one and wants to have the old one back. It is covered under warrenty. Of course I drive home top down in 102 heat and O2 going full blast because I can not breathe real good. Parked the Sky and have not driven it again. The part will come in when it comes in but I will not drive it until then. Just to let anybody that has a problem with thier fan not coming on that maybe it is a fan / blower motor....Skip...Now the ol truck has good A/C and that is how I get around...

I usually get a breeze coming through as long as the HVAC isn't on recirc. When you go back to get the fan installed, try turning the compressor on and driving fast. Maybe that'll force the cooled air through to blow on you so you don't suffer so much.

Early Morning

Sorry to hear about your fan troubles that does blow
Now Skip you get up real early right before the sunrise and hop in the Sky top down and go on over to the donut shop and enjoy driving your car its just right to enjoy the Sky 80 degrees and no sun beating down on you, eat a few donuts for me OK During the heat of the day take a nap for me too Now for grocery shopping good old wally world (Wal-Mart) is open 24-7 so you can go early in the morning or make is a moon lit night ride.

10-4 on the hot description as it's hotter than blue blazes here in metro Atlanta. I'm going to hate myself for saying this but, I'll be glad when our "Southern Winter" comes.

Hey all, It has been just as hot here in Wisconsin. The humidity is so high I can almost see it I live here becuase I don't like hot weather above 80degrees, but this summer has been hitting the 90s way to often

Skip, take er easy and change your sleepling schedule... the sun rise and cooler temps are much easier on the body

We are supposed to get a cooling trend this week with temps in the 90's! I got up this morning a waxed my car beginning at 6:30am. By 8:00am, it was so hot I had to take a break...for the rest of the day.

The heat index (air temp + relative humidity) on Thursday here was 118 degrees Fahrenheit.

Called the dealership yesterday evening because no one had called me . Talked to the parts dept. and they said the blower motor had come in. So I then talked to service and the lady said she would not be able to do the work till Wednesday. I asked her why she had not called and got the run around. Today , Tuesday, I took it in and waited. The lady I talked to on Monday was not there but the service manager was there and got an earful from me on what timely service means . He admitted he dropped the ball and would tighten up the holes in his service dept. I told him that this was the second time that had happened. I also reminded him that Saturn prides itself on its service and next time the general manager would be notified. Soon the little service inquiry will come in and then I get my chance to put it in writting. It was the blower motor and book time to R&R was 40 minutes. It took him all that to get it done...Skip...

I've taken my car into the same dealership on two occasions and got excellent service so I'm sorry you haven't gotten good treatment. So far I have nothing but good things to say about them. Good luck!

It's 109 here in Vegas right now (I don't know if there is a heat index). It was 116 last month for a few days. August is the hottest time of the year here, so we're waiting to see if we hit the 120 mark.

Glad you got the AC fixed. Real BAD out there. I can't bear to put the top down even with the AC running full blast.
