Get the opel gt antenna, shorter than stock, longer than a shortie, much much better reception, and looks better...

You can try carccessory.com, they have a number of shorty antennas. Also you can order an Opal GT antenna, it is about half the size of the stock one.

Go with the Opel version ...i've gone through countless Stubby versions....poor reception, not durable, and don't really fit the look of the car...IMO

Definitely the way to go...but don't order it on line...they charge u an extra 10 dollars shipping cost...just go to your parts dept and let them order it for you..just give them the part number.

I agree - go with Opel antenna! Looks cool and has great reception.

I do not recommend going to Carccessory.com. The stubby I ordered from them was gouged up and broken into pieces before it even arrived... It honestly looked like it was a used antenna that was broken. I tried to work it out with them but ended up having to go through my credit card company since they would not even respond. Not a good way to treat customers.

Definitely go with the Opel antenna!
Gets great reception and fits the car perfectly - and no more bumper car look.
Check out the difference in the sizes of the Opel compared to the stock one by clicking on the pic below:

Maybe its my area (socal) but I have tried 3 shorties from caraccessary and have never had any reception problems. The opel one still looks a little long to me.

I bought mine for $8.99 plus shipping through car accessory ( posts and is a sponsor on this site) I think mine was the "b" model (??) it was black and they also offer the silver model, not extended it is about 5 inches high and I think it extends to over 11 inches........mine works fine for reception and I really like the looks as well, it seems to match the satellite antenna in a way....

I have the Stubby B from http://www.carccessory.com/?gclid=CN...FQU6awodlzMs2A and love it. Very clean and stealthy. I live in Los Angeles so the little antennas have no problem with reception. If I lived in a rural area I'd get the Opel antenna. Also the Stubby B can be pulled up about 6 more inches from it's down state to be extended more for better reception....

Go with the Opel version. I tried the shorty version and the radio reception was terrible. Admittedly, I don't listen to the radio much but I would like to know that I could if I wanted to.

I have stubby A and no problem with reception around where I live. I mainly got the stubby because I didn't want to poke a hole in car cover. I've left the stock pole vault antenna in the trunk so I can always swap out if I'm on a road trip and reception gets bad. Of course, I mostly listen to CDs, so I don't care much.
