Jade is bound and determined to not be fixed

Ok... since all my issues with Jade almost from the getgo..... since they "fixed" her..... I have been dealing with...

1. the windows, going up or down, interfering with the radio
2. the dash lights going off and coming back on, short periods of time
3. the cruise control turning off and the cruise light sometimes going off and
sometimes staying on but the cruise shuts itself off
4. the DIC having weird digits and words not in english
5. THE ENGINE JUST TURNING OFF WHILE ON INTERSTATE
6. the trunk latch button INSIDE glovebox does nothing until the 3rd or 4th
time
7. the radio switching from aux to tuner BY ITSELF
8. the airbag light being ON... when nothing, not even my purse is in that
seat... and sometimes it flickers back and forth
9. the gas gauge not working everytime.... I filled it up and it only went to
a quarter full....... I turned off Jade and started her again... same thing
10. the lighter plug in.. or whatever it is called not working all the time
11. the DIC saying "POWER LOSS" WTF?? that is a new one for me..
usually, the engine just loses power and I can feel it and hear it in the
engine...

I know there are some more mechanical things.... ..

The rear dif..... supposedly REPLACED... still has an X on it...
The top gets "caught" mainly on the driver side... sometimes on the pass
The pass cupholder WONT go back in no matter how gentle I am with it
The dash lights dim all by them selves.... anyway..... She is going back to the dealership in Joliet... monday... I hope they can ... hmmmm... how shall I say this... FIX.... her again.... before I go anywhere... I just cant trust this car... dont get me wrong

I LOVE MY CAR.... but.... I am really tired of the issues.... SkyBaby

Just curious... How many miles do you have on yours? I haven't had any problems, but I still have very low miles. I hope this doesn't start happening in the future with mine.

I'm having the same issue with my top

when i put it back up the rear portion of the door seal gets caught and i think something has now ripped in there so it happens every time

so as i close it i have to grab the rubber thing and slide it into place or the door won't seal

Jade has 35k on her now..... Brian.. not sure about that... I am working on it.... vstar.... I know... they replaced that before and the fuse box bottom thingie...... UGH.... i am just so frustrated with this... I am suppose to spend the winter in Fl with my son..... I am afraid to drive it soooo far.... once again.. it seems it really starts acting up on my long runs..... Jel.... I agree.....

Do what someone obviously did to you. Dump it.

In fact... with the 0% interest (or rebate) you could really minimize any loss and just grab yourself a brand new Sky.

99% are running great. You got a lemon.

Its sounds completely scummy.... but I'd go as far as to trade it in at another dearlship (not that it isnt all tracked in the computer).

Looks like most of what you have experienced is electrical... I wonder if it all stems from one problem? But they wouldve found that by now.

Its a stretch.... Did you ever run a car-fax check on it? With all the flooding taking place the last few years, maybe that car was in a flood? It is far-fetched but prob worth it to run a car fax check on it.

Sky 4 me... dont sweat it. There have definately been some bad skys. And they do get a lot of attention. But 99% are running with zero to minimal problems. I have zero scientific analysis in this.... but its easy to infer... if everyone had SkyBaby's problems it would be headline news.

Ok.. 99% all good is probably tooo strong. But I still think its in the high percentages.

you are right... they still have on few models... but the big deal is over.
5.9 on sky right now (in my area)

It was a 72 hour weekend sale, that after I went on vacation for a whole week was still on when I returned!

I'm so sorry for the problems Jade is experiencing and feel for you! One thing to consider - do you have the Personal Audio Link (PAL - the Saturn iPod connector) installed? I began having several glitches when it was first installed two weeks after I bought my baby. Things like entire dashboard lights not coming on when I first started the car, random lights (airbag, check engine) coming on then off, and trouble with XM radio cutting on and off with XM Channel 0 coming up. Took it into my dealer over and over (so very frustrating), but they couldn't figure it out. Finally, after two months of this I suggested they disconnect the PAL since that was the one thing that was changed when the problems first cropped up. They did it and everything went back to normal. Supposedly a patch for this is being worked on, but here I am 5 months later with out the PAL. However, I won't have it reconnected until Saturn releases the patch.

"Skybaby" I read on another forum some guy had similar type of off-on problems. It turned out to be a bad ground connection.

I believe they have a new patch. It caused a delay in mine being installed.
I've had mine in the sky for a couple of weeks now and it and the rest of the sky are working fine.

I have to agree with the trade the car in option, but would take it one step further. Post up all your cars details including the VIN so any potential buyers who come here first, can be given a warning

I got this one brand new..... and they didnt DOCUMENT... every visit I showed up to let them know of the problems... they just gave me.... "suggestions" to try ..... up until she was just over 13k miles.... I got screwed on this one.... all the information is in my earlier threads... about a year ago or so.... she has been in the shop about 17 times and for over 5 weeks the last time... they changed the bcm.... and supposedly "fixed" a part in the ecm..... they changed my fuse box base thingie..... and they said the ends of the wire harnesses werent ok..... that went into the fuse box thingie..... a wire going to my fogs was melted and.. on and .. on... and on..... so the lemon thing did me no good...... My first Sky was GREAT.... but I had to get rid of it at the time..... I would love to trade Jade and get a different one right now... but I am about 6k upside down on Jade as it is....

...... the only thing I could do is possibly trade her on a used one... but it is harder to get a loan for used....

Just about ready to give up again.... SkyBaby
