Noise help?

Three and a half week old Sky (RL) automatic.

When taking the gear shift out of parking - or putting it back in park .... I'm hearing a Psssssst. Coincides with the doors locking or unlocking.

Only reason I'm curious and ask is I've never heard it before

See if it's coming from your speakers. The SKY uses the speakers for most (all?) of the tones. The speaker circuit will close before the tone and you will get a pssst from the speakers just before the tone and for a second after the tone ends. It's possible to get the psssst without a tone if the system is preparing to give tone (closes the speaker circuit) but the condition warranting the tone is fulfilled before the tone is initiated.

It could be a ghost.....a friendly ghost.

Bogie .... still heard it with the volume down/muted .... so I even turned the radio off. Still a distinct "pssssssst" (almost like a hydraulic line activating or deactivating.) Only happens when I pull it out of Park or back in to Park.

FWIW - if it helps anyone else ...... as I was getting out of Casper this morning - I switched the door locks "on" and heard the mysterious "psssst". It's the door locks making the noise ..... (or the mechanism the controls them)
