NOS intercooler spray bar kits

Anyone out there know anything about these "intercooler coolers" ? It sounds like a cold mist sprayer that is used to cool down the intercooler. They spray the outside of the intercooler with a cold mist. This is not a Nitrous Oxide Systems that sprays into the motor. Do they work?

Product Line: NOS Nitrous Oxide Intercooler Spray Bar Kits
Part Type: CO2 Intercooler Sprayers
CO2 Delivery Type: Intercooler spray bar
Intercooler Spray Bar Material: Aluminum
Intercooler Spray Bar Finish: Natural
Intercooler Spray Bar Length (in): 20 in.

Nitrous Inter-Cooler Spray Bar

20 percent greater intercooler coverage area for improved cooling.
These NOS Nitrous Oxide intercooler spray bar kits feature a new snake design to deliver 20 percent greater intercooler coverage area for improved cooling. These systems decrease intake air temperatures by 20 percent and allow you to safely run more boost to increase power. The kits feature a cut-to-length spray bar design for use with all intercoolers, unlike other halo units. They also include a 5 lb. NOS bottle and all necessary hardware for an easy installation.

Yes they work, but i would rather invest the money into a better intercooler.

They do work, but a bigger intercooler will be more efficient in the long run. Once the bottle runs out, you have to refill it, which will be costly over time. Besides, we don't have much room in our trunks to run a nitrous bottle.

This is something that would help you at the drag strip. For daily driving or auto-x it would spray too often and you would be filling the bottle a lot.

Can something like this get your IAT below ambient? You don't actually use this while running the quarter mile do you? Don't you just use it in the staging lanes or just before you line up? I wonder if it would actually drop a tenth or two off an ET???

I've never used one, but I've been curious as to how effective they'd be...

You would spray before staging to get the intercooler cold [c02 kits are much cheaper and just as effective as nitrous kits]. They are effective, because they pretty much freeze the intercooler.
