Parked the Sky, later... no start

Came home after work yesterday, parked the Sky. We were going to go to town later in the evening...got in...turned the key...no crank! Real good lights, all electrical operational except for engine crank! I can hear a relay click on the passenger side. It's not like a solenoid clicking sound though. Put a charger on it all night, still no crank. PLEASE ANY HELP. I"ve seen internal starter short talked about (Antonio) which mimics my situation. Please assist if you can! Puggs

If you have juice call ONSTAR and have them flatbed the car to Saturn!

If you do not have Onstar, call Saturn and have them flatbed the car to the dealer.

It is that simple, you are under warrantee, why sweat it.

Good Luck!

What gear are you in? [Well, I gotta ask].

Try the second keyset.

Right now I have the positive lead disconnected from the battery. Looking to see if reset helps any. Good info Xmicro now that I have a Hahn turboed 2.4! Yes, and for just one week!! I fail to see how the install of the turbo would initiate a non crank condition. This vehicle has been worked on before for non starting, tech explained it to me and showed the under the hood fuse box where the problem was. It was a faulty blade connector underneath that box. It was not uncommon, before the mod, when starting, this car would commonly keep cranking when I would release the key and go to to the run mode, but it wouldn't always start, it generally started on the second try. I'm leary of bringing it to our saturn dealer! Warranty issue?? I know the issues... Puggs

I had all most the same thing happen on my red line. I pulled it out of the garage and parked it in the drive way. I came out about 10 minutes later and no crank. I tried to jump it with my battery charger and no go so I called On-Star. It was flat bedded to the Saturn dealer and they found a lose wire on the starter.
They replaced the full wiring harness about two weeks prior to this. I wonder how many other wires they forgot to tighten down.

Thats what I need suggestions that I can check. Thanks... The idea of the reset didn't work, checked all pertaining fuses, contacts, and tried the other set of keys. No luck so far. Will try to get it pulled onto my ramps so I can check starter, and wires.

Damn, I had no idea you modded the engine, you have no info in your signature. But like you said, a Turbo has nothing to do with a No Crank situation, so I would still either bring it back to Saturn or whomever installed the Hahn Kit. Maybe they loosened something while working under there and it finally vibrated off. The harness's that go under the fuse box up front are hanging about where they would need to work. Did you try pulling them off an replacing them?

Anyway, the good thing is you have a logged history of this problem prior to the Hahn Install. I say bring it back and tell them it is happening again. Just because you added a turbo doesn't mean you electrical warrantee should get voided. The burden of proof is on the dealer.

Good Luck with this issue!

For those of you who may have not heard, the problem was a loose connection on one of the clutch switches. My mechanic found it while troubleshooting. He mashed the female side and slid in the male blade of the connector and Puggsleyssky came to life! Puggs
