I'll go back and take another look at it and see if I can mod it if it's not too difficult. That's not my point. My point is it's advertised to fit and it doesn't. Period. I shouldn't have to mod anything.

when you jacked up the was it level with jack stands or did you just jack up one side???? its possible the chassis was twisted when it was jacked up. i would recommend jacking it up level as possible and reINSTALLING the reBAR. then if that dont work have at the the hangers for the exhaust... when i installed my exhaust everything cleared fine but as soon as it was on the ground it sounded like those blue bald headed dicks that beat the drums! get up there with you mitts and start bending those exhaust hangers. i had the same problem with my STi also.

I'm going to loosen the bolts while it's on my level garage floor and see if it settles lower to clear the exhaust. Then, if needed, I'll bend the hangers a little. Again, my premise is retorting to the claimed compatibility, the disclaimer, and my past experience with the vendor. Every store I know lets a person have the difference in a price that changes due to a sale within a reasonable set time. It's very possible that I did something incorrectly, but I'm pretty careful about stuff like this. If I'm wrong, I'll fess up because I'm good like that.

dont sweat it i have learned a long time ago every time i do anything after market im going to have to modify to make it fit... it sux everything on my WRX needed to be adjusted to fit properly. On my 95 240sx i decided to do a S15 front end conversion on it. i ended up cutting $500 conversion fenders in half and molding them to the stock fender just to make them fit....

Homer's 240SX S14.5 - buffalo, New York

take a look at that nightmare never again... ever

No disrespect was taken from you... i get paid for being a jerk so thats my nature and im use to dealing with back talk from people that don't have a clue

Look we did our homework. If there is an issue you can always pick up the phone and give us a call. We have a great reputation in Customer Service. Like i said before, we stand behind our product 100%. If theres any issues on a particular bar just let us know.

If a competitor is doing there own solution than thats great. The good thing is that you make the choice of who you want to buy from. The unfortunate thing is that when Kappasphere spends the time and money to properly R&D a new product, our competitors can than use our product to help them forgo R&D cost and efforts. Remeber Kappasphere has been out since the car was introduced to the market and we are still here. We will still continue on trying to innovate quality new solutions for the kappa community.

Sounds like your reBAR might have some manufacturing flaw or that a KS2 on Redline sits lower then on a 2.4. We installed this bar on our non-Redline Sky, it slid into place like a glove, not forced with a jack.

It is much more helpful to the community to give the vendor a call and let them troubleshoot you over the phone or offer you a refund. These types of threads end up hurting the vendor's reputation without them being able to help the customer out first and solving the problem.

We designed and then redesigned this bar to work properly while trying to accomidate aftermarket exhausts. It is very hard for a company of our size to test all the different exhausts available for the Sky, Redline, Solstice, and GXP. If there are say 10 exhausts out there, then we would have to test out our product on 40 cars to say that if fits with all. For us, we would rather allow some of you all to test it on your car and if it doesnt fit then send it back and we will refund you.

GhostRL,

Ditto to Texas Red Line's comment

I did my time in another era (VN).
When I got out I went to work for Sikorsky Aircraft and spent part of my time on the Test & Development team for the Blackhawk you have in the background.

Even was out in the field at many of the UH-60 Bases stateside, Korea and Germany troubleshooting problems with the orignal fleet.

Hope she serves you all well and brings you home safe and sound to your loved ones. - Skyman-CT

Sorry for of thread - Just my

Clown? No reason to take my comment so personally. I wasn't trying to catch you at anything, just making a joke about the time stamps the forum uses. Guess you didn't take it the way I intended. Next time I'll add a second smiley face.

As the child, sibling, & parent of military (heck even my ex-spouse was military at first) - I can reliably tell you that those in the military do not have regular scheduled job shifts.
It is not at all unusual when serving in combat areas to only get a few hours (or less) sleep before being back on duty.
Many often do computer checks before sleep & upon awakening when given the chance - all because it is thier only tie to the normal life they have left behind.
FYI - it did not come off as anything resembling a joke - & it would not matter how many smiley faces you put there.

I apologize for the hijack - but it annoys the absolute devil out of me when someone yanks on our troops.

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.

Firstly, I never soliciated inputs about peoples' military service (I've been active duty going on 24 years), other people knocking vendors' products, or any of the other subconversations that may coexist with my initial input.

Yes, I should have called the vendor first and spoke about it. However, I've called before when I purchased the KS2 for my 2.4 when the price was reduced three days after I purchased it. Calling about the reBAR wasn't really on my list of things to do because of my past experience. Also, I took the disclaimer at its word and didn't feel like trying to explain and negotiate after my first experience.

Yes, I should have kept the whole reBAR thing on one thread. I'm fine with the other one being deleted if no one has a problem with that. I'm not out to ruin anyone's reputation; however, if everyone just wants these threads to be rosy and happy, then I won't tell it like it is. I've posted nothing but praise for products since I've been here for over a year. The one time I complain about something in a public forum, I get LOTS of feedback. I was basically told to shut up and color when it was private.

I'm not interested in a refund. I will make it work. The product is not defective. It's very symmetric and the holes are where they're supposed to be. The fact that I have to make it fit is my contention. My KS2 is installed correctly and something is amiss. I think the product is stylish and also serves a function. That's why I chose it.

I will work the problem myself and make it work. But I do have the right to free disclosure if something isn't kosh. I find it hard to believe that I'm the only one who has one and has posted any feedback on the installation other than the vendor. If some other people post that it fits like a glove on their KS1/KS2 I'd love to see that so I can perhaps reattack this.

Again, I will make it work and I'm not looking for any freebies or discounts.

Sorry again for your inconvienance. Let us know if we can help you out.

We just installed about bar today on a GXP with GMPP exhaust. Our reBAR was situated about 1/2" below his exhaust. That one fit with no issues.

First off, GhostRL - YOU DA MAN!

I can't comment on this specific product, I won't be ordering as I have the RPI Exhaust and there's no way it will fit. However, I did recently order the Kappasphere Eibach Springs. Service was excellent, they answered all my questions, shipped the product fast and I just had it installed today and am completely satisfied.
