Reduced Engine Power glitch

Had Saturn look at the service engine light issue, caused from the DIC message
"reduced engine power". When this happened the RPM's would only go to 3500. The DIC "reduced engine power" message only lasted for
about 5 miles. Driving to Saturn every thing was OK except for the service
engine light on. They checked the engine fault codes and found nothing wrong.
Reset everything and the test drive went OK. They think it was some kind of a
computer glitch in the vehicle protecting itself. From what??
If enough 2008 models have the same problem, it will probably get a firmware
update.......... Damn computers
My car has only 560 miles.
