Replacing the Battery

Has anyone tried to replace the battery yet? It looks like the shroud over the wheel and maybe the front fender had to be removed. When I asked a tech at the dealer I think he must have been new because he said he thinks he could get it out. I convinced him to look in the shop manual and sure enough, the shroud has to come out but not sure about the fender.

I don't much like the service department removing body parts, I can never be sure it will look right again. Is this something the body shop would do?

Yes you have to take the panel off and yes many people have switched batteries. Several have switched to Optimas and Brailles.

No Big deal - Just take caring in sliding the battery out - not to touch the posts on the black cross rail (at the same time replacing-battery-battery-removed.jpg
