i didnt replace the drain gasket and mines holding up fine so far! im using amsoil fluid but i didnt notice a difference in shift quality. im hard to please though lol.

Sorry LLLFEY, I never checked drain plug size. and if I miss understand your mean, sorry. Your comment "magnet plug" was differential magnet plug is not it?
If it so, I am not sure it was not different size AR5 drain plug and differential plug.

Remove fill plug 1st.

I sent you my message to your private box. Sorry if you mean (rear) was Diff, 28oz is
Normal, but AR5 oil capacity is bigger than diff.
I am not sure when I drain AR5 oil, the quantity of the drain oil was the approximately 77~79oz.
Mine needs oil when re-fill to unit, Diff=over 40oz + LSD lub, AR5=approximately 94oz.

It was my case, I keep body horizontal when drain oil and re-fill.
If your car body was not able to keep horizontal position, oil was not perfect drain.
As a same time, you could not re-fill the oil correctly.
